A great B&B with the perfect host in Julie. Immaculate rooms and excellent breakfast.

Julie was the perfect host and couldn't have been more helpful. The room was immaculate, with everything we could need and the bed was something comfortable I didn't want to get up! Little touches like home made shortbread were much appreciated. Breakfast was excellent, with delicious home baked cheese and bacon scones, and there was also homemade lemon curd and jam! We will definitely be back next time we go to Carlisle. 10/10

Exceeded expectations

A beautiful house in and excellent location. Our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable and spacious. A very homely atmosphere. The underfloor heating in the bathroom is lovely on a cold winter evening. We only stayed 1 night as breaking up our journey but will definitely visit Carlisle again and this will be our first choice for accommodation.

A lovely little B n B to explore Carlisle from

The owners personally greeted us, which was a nice touch. They offered us breakfast also (though we didn't have time to have this!). We didn't stay long in the room as was only overnight stay for partner's graduation the next day but lovely room, spacious, cosy homey feel. Would definitely stay if we need to stay in Carlisle again! Place is walking distance to town, quiet overall as not many rooms in entire place as a whole.

Superb B&B in Carlisle

Fantastic welcome when we arrived and such a lovely room, with comfy bed and everything else we could need. The breakfast was superb, and Julie was so friendly. We will book again when returning to Carlisle as it’s so well located with 24hr parking nearby (£10 for 24 hrs).

Restful and extremely good

One of the very best. Quality ingredients. Care and attention paid to detail. I do wish I was there for a longer stay which was not work related. My scrambled eggs were perrrfectly cooked. I had a home made ( that morning) freshly baked scone. I just wish I was not in any hurry! Top 2 breakfasts from over 100 travels in a year!

This is a perfect location for exploring Carlisle. It is run by friendly and thoughtful hosts with an excellent breakfast including nice touches like home made savoury scones. The ensuite room was very attractive. The hosts also provided a parking permit which was a real bonus for us. There are nearby restaurants which were varied and excellent. We felt very welcome.

Breakfast was superb ,anything you wanted no problem. The room was lovely and quiet,with the chocolates very nice personal touch and the owner Julie was charming and welcoming .

Fantastic stay in Carlisle

Awesome gem in Carlisle. Julie provided fantastic hospitality. The rooms are modern, yet cozy. Comfy bed. Lots of little personal touches such as fresh milk in a glass bottle and yummy home-made cookies. We loved every second of our stay at Rosalind House. Would definitely come back. Great location in walking distance to the city center, the University of Cumbria and the Carlisle Cathedral

Everything about Rosalind House was fabulous

Rosalind House is very close to the town centre but also very quiet. A beautiful house. Very clean and comfortable and a fabulous breakfast. The hosts were extremely welcoming and accommodating. Able to drop our bags early. Will definitely come back

This is a lovely and lively B&B hosted by very welcoming and hospitable owners who are very keen to ensure guests are happy during their stay. The room was perfect for me travelling alone on business with a great shower and plenty of room.

A great last minute stay In Carlisle.

Very clean and close to town centre. Nice decore. Friendly helpful host. Carlisle is pretty with good places to eat and drink.

Part of the shower control kept falling off, and it was a bit confusing how to change from overhead to hand held shower.

Excellent b&b. The best place I've stayed in Carlisle.

Rosalind house was a great place to stay, would definitely recommend and would visit again. The room was nicely decorated, clean and spacious. Julie was a lovely host. Very friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was great. A very nice spread set out ready for me and then a great cooked breakfast to order. I'd normally stay in anonymous hotels in Carlisle, but this was much better.

The only aspect that could have been improved was the ironing board in the room. It is big enough, but one you rest on a table rather than a traditional one. It did the job but was a little fiddly. But that is nitpicking, the room, house, host and service were all exceptional.

One of the best B&B I have stayed at. Room was very well equipped providing everything you needed for your stay.Room clean comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was fabulous so much choice. Julie and family were very welcoming made you feel and ease.

Long weekend at Rosiland House

Beautiful period home close to rail, restaurants, and shops. Our Tethera suite was inviting and very comfortable. Host Julie Downie is wonderful! Breakfasts and homebaked treats we're prepared and presented lovely. Highly recommend a stay at Rosiland House.

Everything I liked.. was amazing ..looked after us and more..room was comfortable and cosy..bed very comfortable..Shower was great too.Breakfast was amazing..fresh flowers on the table butter jam fruit yogurt coffe bread cereal choice of cooked food to order.home made plum jam from their plum tree.was delicious.home made scones were to die for and home made biscuits and milk in the fridge..Really was first class ..well done....x
