As soon as we arrived the owner was so helpful, she showed us places we could go hiking and things we could do in the area during our stay. We were able to do laundry, everything was very clean and well kept and we woke up to gorgeous views every morning.
There wasn’t anywhere to cook anything, just a fridge which is expected in a hotel/guesthouse but there aren’t many places to eat in the area so a little inconvenient.

It was great location and right on the lake.
It was too many stairs for me as I have bad knees and back. I should have specified I have these problems.

We loved our stay at Pension Sarstein. Its owner, Isabelle, made sure we had a pleasant stay even before we arrived in Hallstatt. The apartment we stayed and the entire property were exceptionally clean and peaceful. What made the stay even more amazing was that the property not only offered the best lake views, but was also located in the quietest part of town. We were never bothered by tourist noise or busy traffic. We would recommend Pension Sarstein to our friends in a heartbeat.
