A beautiful independent beach front property

Its location on the beach was incredible. The staff were very welcoming. The breakfast was really good and the sweet treat and coffee in the afternoon was a good touch.

The bathroom was set up very strange, there was a wall right infront of the toilet meaning you couldn’t sit straight and had to sit to the side if your legs are even remotely long. We also wanted our friend to come and hang out in our room whilst we got ready for dinner but were refused entrance which was a little frustrating.

Wonderful! Lovely staff, beautiful rooms, location, breakfast, view.

The staff was excellent, particularly Ailiana (correct spelling?). She was so friendly, warm, energetic, understanding and welcoming. We booked a room at Pousada last minute after being unhappy with our previous booking. She was more than willing to accomodate us, help us out last minute and make sure that we were comfortable and welcome. It really made the whole experience amazing when she made sure to attend to our needs and find a beautiful, clean and comfortable room. She is wonderful! Thank you so much. We had a wonderful experience.

Lovely place on beach

Right on the beach which was great, on the quieter stretch which was nice but still near bars and restaurants with chill vibe. Nice terrace out front to relax in, and good food at breakfast and for afternoon snack. Good aircon and games room is nice touch.

Awesome, won't hesitate to come back

Rooms were very clean, well decorated and were well equipped (safe, fridge, A/C, furniture to put clothes). The balcony was a real plus. The staff was very helpful and they gave us good advice/ contacts for boat trips. Every afternoon they offered tea, coffee and cake for the guests. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel is beachfront and has a terrace with sunbeds.

We loved it

We came to this hotel after a 10 day Carnival marathon in Rio. We really wanted a quiet, clean and beautiful place to stay at. Pousada Caicara was perfect. We loved everything about it. The room, the cleanliness, the breakfast, the location and the staff. It is right on the beach so we loved being able to leave everything in our room and just taking a towel and a book to lie on the beach. There is a small shower in the garden to wash off the sand when you get of the beach, so nice. It only takes 2 minutes to walk in to town where all the restaurants, stores and booking agencies are. The staff were so friendly and everything was very well kept. We’re probably forgetting to mention something but just all in all we were so happy with it.

*The breakfast was fresh and tasty but it started quite late (8am) which was a pain if you had early morning plans/trips *Great location on the beach with pretty views from the sea view rooms at the front. Be warned it's a difficult 15 min walk along the back road from the pier if you have heavy luggage *Room was clean and basic toiletries were provided *WiFi was strong and seemed to work in all areas of the pousada *Tea and homemade cake at 5pm daily was a lovely touch

*The rooms were very basic and small with little room to unpack. The bathroom was incredibly small and a bit shabby. *Noise travels within the pousada so no chance of a lie in or afternoon nap! *We upgraded from a mountain view room to a sea view as the mountain view room was very dark and overlooked other buildings. We agreed the upgrade price with the English speaking receptionist but, upon check out, a different receptionist charged us double and refused to honor the agreed price. It wasn't a big deal, but was a sour note to end our stay on *The bed was very hard which made getting a decent sleep difficult

Well run guesthouse in great location at the end of thr beach. Spotlessly clean. Excellent breakfast.

Getting there required a short walk through the sandy beach which was not easy with suitcase.
