Good location

Good location just outside of Chania. A short walk to the beach and taverns and about a 20min walk to Chania old town, but there's a bus stop outside the studios for 2 euros into the old town 😀.

An unexpectedly wonderful holiday

The location is fantastic. For me, the location is of utmost importance. It was 1 minute from a lovely beach that was not overcrowded. It did have a beach café with sunbeds, but only one, the rest was a long free sandy space, there were trees for shade, a shower, a beach guard every couple of hundred meters, a kayak rental spot, a beach taverna... Yet, it was just under 10 minutes walk to the buzzing seaside promenade with restaurants and rows of sunbeds, and 15 minutes easy walk to the Old City and all its attractions. Excellent bakeries just across the street and a 24/7 supermarket. The apartment was spatious, fresh, well maintained and very clean. It had a long balcony with the north side always in the shade, with a sea view and never too hot, and the east side with the morning sun to dry the beach clothes. And it had white window sun shades that helped a lot.

There were no moskito nets. It was a bit noisy from the street, but then there was a bus stop for easier access to the old city if you did not fancy a 15 minute walk.

Very good choice and I strongly recommend it

Very good location . Close to Nea Chora beach and Chania old port as well . The staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was more than clean.

The only issue was the noise from the road which obliged us to have the windows closed and the air conditioning open in the afternoons.

A Cozy Beachside Base in Chania with a Local Feel

Kleanthi Studios – Chania, Crete I recently stayed at Kleanthi Studios in Chania and it really felt like a home away from home. This family-run property is just a few minutes walk from Nea Chora Beach and around a 15-minute stroll from Chania’s Old Town and Venetian harbour. For me, that balance of calm by the sea and easy access to the historic centre was perfect. Ambiance and Decor The studios are simple, clean, and thoughtfully maintained. Nothing extravagant, but everything feels fresh and cared for. The balcony became my favourite spot each morning to enjoy coffee and watch the day begin. Rooms I stayed in a studio apartment with a small kitchenette, perfect for light meals. The room had air-conditioning, reliable Wi-Fi, and comfortable beds. It is not luxury, but it is extremely comfortable and practical for exploring Chania. Location One of the biggest highlights is definitely the location. The beach is on your doorstep, lined with cafés and tavernas, yet never crowded. When I wanted more buzz, the Venetian harbour with its narrow streets, lively bars, and rich history was just a short walk away. Services and Extras There is no pool or gym, but the sea makes up for it. Nearby shops, bakeries, and a small café-bar downstairs make staying here easy and convenient. Parking was free and straightforward, which is a big plus if you have a rental car. Customer Service The service was warm, personal, and genuinely helpful. The high standard of cleanliness and attention to detail made the stay feel extra special. Value for Money For the location, comfort, and homely feel, Kleanthi Studios offers excellent value. It is the kind of place where you do not feel like just another guest. Final Thoughts If you want a clean, well-equipped base close to both the beach and Chania’s old town, Kleanthi Studios is a fantastic choice. Nice location good value

Thus is a great location if you don’t fancy being on the centre of chania, which, although gorgeous, can be very busy and just for tourists. I could see the sea from my room and it’s a two minute walk to the beach. Walking away from the town is a nice quiet spot to swim and the beach is fine and quiet in late April. There’s a nice cafe downstairs and a great restaurant on front right there. Feels local and local prices

2 star basic hotel, good - but you can find others with similar pricing

The hotel is basic for a 2 star hotel, no big hotel company and quite relaxed, 1.5 km from the center and near beaches which is just what we wanted. The staff who are owners of a bar/ canteen downstairs are also relaxed and nice there was not much interaction, the rooms are kept clean every day theres a nice balcony view of the sea and there is also air conditioner

if you are on staying on the room with the side of the main road there is a lot of noise. one night at the restaurant downstairs ( whom are the same owners of the hotel) there was a football match with lots of people and screaming and yelling until 1 am because of the game. It seems to me the owners care more about serving and having people here at the restaurant watching a game rather than their guests having a good rest. Housekeeping makes a lot of noise early as well. we did not have a good nights sleep there.

Spacious apartment and great bargain

This spacious apartment (Room 10) was super clean and an absolute bargain. Check-in was really hassle free and the people working there were really friendly and helpful. You can get a really nice breakfast and other meals in the bar below.

Because it is on a busy street some people who are noise sensitive might have issues sleeping but on the other hand it is just part of being in a vibrant area.

Our apartment was very spacious, especially the balcony. We had a really pleasant time there. The object lays in a profitable place in the city. On the one hand we could take a walk to the city center, on the other it lays relatively close to main road leading to junction on the main creatan motorway, so we could everyday reach different spots on island without lossing time, driving through the city. In the ground floor there is a pleasant and atmospheric Cafe, which belong to the object. We had there tastefull and decent breakfast for the fair price. We had never problem to find a parking place for our car in front of hotel during our stay. Hotel's crew changed towels every second day, and as we asked for iron and new water cooker (previous didn't work for some reason) we got it immediatelly.

Time to time we could hear unpleasant noises, probably from some water appliance behind the wall.

Nice for a short stay in Chania

The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed for a short stay, including a cooking stove, an electric oven and a kettle. In the same street you can find everything you need - supermarkets, bakeries, and even a fish shop (about 10 min walk). You can see the beach from the balcony and park the car near to it.

A bit noisy in the night (because of the traffic on the street). But not critical.

Absolutely perfect! Can't wait to go back!

Honestly, everything was ABSOLUTELY great! I actually started to miss this apartment the moment we left it! First of all, the building is VERY GOOD and there's a lot of parking spaces around. The receptionist was pretty friendly and we liked him immediately. The apartment is AMAZING. I would absolutely live in such a place if possible. It had a huge balcony around the apartment, kitchen furnished with absolutely everything that you could possibly need, perfectly sized toilet with a washing machine (I totally didn't expect this one) and a bedroom ... oh dear the bedroom and the bed. The bed was probably one of the MOST COMFORTABLE beds I ever slept it! I swear I haven't slept good like this for AGES (and no it's not because I'm on vacation; I actually had trouble sleeping in places AFTER this!). As for location, I think it just doesn't get any better than this. Honestly. It's located DIRECTLY on the beach, 5mins walk to a completely organized beach with bunch of sunbeds and restaurants and 15min walk to Chania old town. Obviously, we had a car which made this location PERFECT for us! But frankly, if you come to Chania without a car, you're missing a lot anyway, so - just don't do it. All in all, what can I say except -- don't even THINK twice. This place is PERFECT and I'm already looking forward to coming back here!

Honestly, this is probably the ONLY think that I could say I "didn't like". We paid for breakfast which, even though it was delicious, I found a bit tedious because for 7 days we ate exactly the same thing every morning :) So what I would honestly advise you to do is -- don't include breakfast in your Booking.com reservation but instead just go to the caffe (where the breakfast is server anyway) and order whatever it is that you'd like to have. I think the price is rather similar anyway :)

The room is beautiful and clean with good shower and amenities. Amazing view of the sea from the balcony. Nice beach right in front of the hotel. Nice bar/cafe downstairs from the same owner. Calm area and walking distance to the city center. Staff is very nice, we wished to have stayed longer but it was fully booked.
