A wonderful stay

Such a nice accommodation, with an authentic Greek feel and all the facilities needed for a wonderful stay. The Old Town center is about 10 minutes (or less) away on foot, and the stroll is filled with the charm of Chania. The apartment is located about 5 minutes from the nearest bus station, where you can catch a bus to various beaches like Iguana Beach, Stavros, Seitan Limania, etc. The apartment has all the amenities needed for a longer stay: cooking utensils, a washing machine, and a life-saving AC. :) But for us, the star of the show was the big balcony, where we spent our mornings drinking coffee and eating breakfast while listening to the iconic sound of Crete: the cicadas. Also, our host Maria was such a sweet soul and an easy person to talk to, she made us feel at home! I definitely recommend staying here, as the price-quality ratio is great. :)

Staying at Zamboli has become a kind of tradition for me when I come to Chania. In the lovingly furnished two apartments of Maria, her creativity and warmth are reflected, instantly making you feel at home. The apartment is equipped with everything you need, just as advertised. The kitchen provides all the necessary cooking amenities, including a large refrigerator with freezer. Every detail has been thought of. Both in the kitchen and on the terrace, you can comfortably sit in the shade and enjoy your meals. The beds are incredibly comfortable, with great mattresses. The location is superb, with the bus station and old town just a 5-minute walk away and shopping options around the corner. Thank you, dear Maria, for your warm hospitality, assistance, and support at all times! I look forward to staying with you again.

Maria, our host was very accommodating. We called just before our arrival and she met us at the entrance. The apartment was loaded with every necessity imaginable. The bus station is only a 100 meters away. Parking on the side streets is available and free. A parking garage is also nearby. Just a 5 minute walk to the center of town.

Cosy apartament and lovely host

Apartament felt literaly like our home but on a very beautiful island !!! 💚 Maria, the host was lovely, with a positive energy and helpfull. Location was perfect to visit and enjoy other cretan beaches such as Agia Marina because it is very close to the central bus station that takes you everywhere. Very close also to the city center, the Venetian Harbour and the Old Port. Also the neighbourhood has everything you need close, like supermarkets, local food, etc. We felt great!

We really thank you for the great stay! Maria is a wonderful host and the flat itself is absolutely brilliant in terms of location. We were able to get around Chania safely at any time of the day or night, were back at the accommodation quickly, 15 minutes to the beach ... perfect :-) also the taxi driver Dimitris is a 15/10! Very nice hosts, happy to come back!

Well, the location is perfect, especially for someone traveling by bus - the station is a few minutes away and you can go to botanical gardens, other towns and villages. Also it's easy to walk to the beach and Chania center. We felt very safe there too. The apartment itself is beautiful with unique artwork. It's also very comfortable and has everything you might need.

Great location comes with a slight disadvantage - Chania wakes up quite early and street gets busy and loud.

Nice clean studio apartment in the heart of Chania

The owner was very helpful and provided us with recommendations on local eating establishments, beaches, and cities to visit. The location was just north of the old city center, 2 blocks from the regional station and 1 block from the local bus station. It was a quiet area near the tourist office. The apartment was on the first floor with an elevator. The A/C and WIFI were excellent.

In my opinion, the mattress on the double bed was very firm and made it hard to sleep for my wife and I. Everything else was just fine.

We spent a week in the apartment. We are very satisfied. We came to Chania in the evening. Maria waited for us in the staircase with the keys. For good beginning she made a tasty bruschette for us. The apartment is like a home. Very confortable bed, very good equipped kitchen and bathroom, big balcony and terrace. Location in the heart of Chania is ideal for visiting and relax, near bus station, old town, shops, bazar, port and beach. Maria speaks very good english. Last day our flight to home was in the evening, but it was’nt problem with leaving luggage in the apartment.

Wonderful stay, it feels like home!

My family and I had a wonderful time at Zamboli. Maria (the landlord) is adorable and really reactive. The apartment is very well located, just near by the central bus station and a few minutes walk from the old city of Chania. De tudo. A proprietária foi excelente, e ajudou-nos a encontrar todos os horários dos autocarros para as viagens que pretendíamos fazer. A casa tinha tudo, até guarda-sol, que nos deu muito jeito. Toda a cozinha estava equipada e havia azeite, óleo, sal, etc... casa de banho muito limpa, e com gel de banho, shampoo, cotonete, e várias toalhas. O quarto tinha uma decoração fantástica, a internet funcionava na perfeição, ar condicionado muito bom. Tinha varanda, e um pátio enorme, onde tomávamos o pequeno-almoço. Localização perfeita, a 100 metros da terminal rodoviária e uns 150 metros do supermercado, muito no centro, e muito perto também do centro histórico, onde fica o Porto Veneziano antigo.
