The perfect room in paradise

We would 100% recommend the Koi Pool Villa — one of the best-located villas in the hotel. It offers direct beach access and is close to the restaurant, yet still feels wonderfully private. The sunsets from the villa were absolutely incredible. The hotel is located right at the end of the beach, giving it an exclusive feel that’s largely enjoyed by hotel guests only. There are excellent snorkeling spots nearby, with beautiful, colourful fish to see, while still being within easy walking distance along the beach to plenty of bars and restaurants. The in-room massage experience was absolutely next level. We’ll definitely be back!

The most dreamy place we have ever stayed

Quite possibly the most beautiful place we have ever stayed. The location was dreamy. The hotel is set at the very far end of the main beach in Koh Tao. It's definitely the most beautiful beach on the island and there is lots to do. But, because the hotel is located at the end of the beach, it's a bit set apart. The room we had was insane. A real instagram heaven. It was perfect.

The restaurant and food was fine, but felt a touch dated.

Gorgeous, quiet hotel on Sairee Beach!

Gorgeous beachfront hotel at the end of Sairee Beach. Our cabana was lovely! We loved the outdoor patio kitchen and seating area! The beach was gorgeous. The restaurant is excellent. The grilled whole sea bass was the best meal I had in Thailand. Lovely pool. Staff are warm and helpful. Highly recommend!

Gorgeous rainforest retreat

This place is beautiful and has the best part of the beach - perfect for swimming, snorkelling and sunset. The grounds are stunning with plenty of gorgeous plants, great for nature lovers who love a rainforest hideaway amongst the greenery. I loved waking up in my treehouse hut with dappled sunlight coming through the trees. Staff were AMAZING and made my birthday extra special by making up my room with birthday decor and a card ❤️ - I don’t even remember if I mentioned my birthday?!! Restaurant is delicious, we ate there most nights - love the area with floor cushions, real place to relax and enjoy the gorgeous beach view.

Lots of steps to some huts - may not be for those with mobility issues. You can hear distant party music as it carries across the beach, but it didn’t bother us and is probably unavoidable on Koh Tao!

Felt a tiny bit run down for the price point. Eg, our hot water didn't work and wasn't fixed and there wasn't enough rain pressure for our rain shower head. Not huge problems, but at this price, should have been fixed.

The location of the property is perfect. The staff are lovely.

Our room had rats. Multiple. We stayed in a terra patio villa (#41) and it was on the ground floor. A family of rats lived outside the open air bathroom. They would come into the bedroom at night and go through the room, luggage, anywhere. Sleep was impossible without earplugs. The staff were very understanding and moved us eventually to a room on the top floor, and claimed they would fix the room to contain the rats to the bathroom, but honestly, that’s not how rats work. They will find a way. Basically, if you book the terra patio, hope you don’t get a ground floor one.

Unique treehouse experience which allows you to experience Koh Tao whilst also retaining the luxury

The treehouse setting was really unique and a great experience. The villa is far enough away from the town not to be kept up all night but close enough that you can walk to and enjoy it

The staff weren’t the most helpful. I had asked for an iron on the first night and had to call multiple times. After being told it was on route over the space of two days I was told they don’t have one

The staff were performing maintenance in the high season, which could have been done in the low, this was strange and due to this each day there was limited sun beds available… some areas shabby and needed painting and modernising also fountains and water features not working. Amazing facility and staff were lovely

Great hotel room was amazing we stayed in white sala rm 37 and you can access pool from the back of your room. Excellent complimentary mini bar which is great as it is a fare walk to get to a convenience store. The resort is on a hill with quite a few steps so could be challenging for the elderly. The restaurant at the resort was lovely and the food great would definitely stay there again

This is an exceptional resort for those that know. It offers privacy and luxury in a laid back environment with the attractions of Sairee Beach 5-10 minutes walk away. If you can haul yourself off the sunbeds there is plenty to do, if you can't - just order another cocktail and book a massage!

We had a patio villas and it was very nice. The first one we were given by the main road was not great and we asked to see others and finally moved to one on the second floor which are better. The villas themselves are very nice but the public area could do with a little more care

It was perfect! We booked an ocean view tree house and it was beautiful. The resort was so peaceful. We loved using the beach beds, pool area and eating at the restaurant on the resort. Staff were great, super helpful. They provide a transfer from the pier and a shuttle service back when you’re checking out. We loved the location and the nature surrounding it.

Perfect and serene.

The most gorgeous, perfect resort in Koh Tao! It was our most “expensive” stay of our trip but went above and beyond being worth it. From having its own beach beds and quiet stretch of sand, to a gorgeous pool and an amazing restaurant on-site (fantastic room service!), Koh Tao Cabana was serene and offered the perfect relaxation for our holiday. Also only 10 mins out from popular parts of town! Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful at all times. I will absolutely be staying again on my next trip to Koh Tao.

A bunch of villas, all unique design, hidden amongst the greenery at the end of Sairee Beach. Its rustic, romantic & so pretty. The beach out front is shallow & gentle (snorkel equipment & paddle boards available), staff are friendly & the restaurant turns out some very tasty food. And if you do need a change of scenery, it’s a short walk along the beach to restaurants, bars & shops. Unexpected bonuses? The free mini bar is restocked daily, their zero waste policy is admirable in an area where plastic is clogging the ocean & there’s a a coffee machine in the room!

Quirks? About that coffee machine… three coffee pods each day in a double room 🤔 And the pool doesn’t open until 9.00am so no option for early exercise there. Forced sleep in! 😂

Serenity Found

This resort is a place you wouldn't even need to leave if you are just looking for a place to relax and unwind while enjoying nature and a beautiful view of the a water. My stay at the resort was visually stimulating. The staff were so welcoming, kind and helpful. Some of the friendliest people I've encountered on my holiday. Thank you Koh Tao Cabana and staff for making this a truly amazing experience.

Hotel with amazing view on all Koh Tao

The view from the cabin was amazing, the jungle vibe and the private swimming pool, and the shower that was outside under the sky. In addition we liked that the hotel picked us up from the pier for free.

The toilet was outside ( not so comfortable), the breakfast was ok with small menu of choice. In addition the hotel was 10 minutes away from the center but it didn’t bother us.

The best stay at this Koh Tao! The staff went above and beyond, and the villa itself had 2 rooms with private beach access and a pool. We loved that it was super convenient getting in and out. Not much walking from the Lobby. I choose this Villa bc we have kids and elderly.The hotel's complimentary taxi service to and from the pier was a huge plus. The room was stocked daily with drinks, snacks, coffee, and more. The best part? The peaceful location at the end of the beach.

About 12 mins walk from local restaurants. Breakfast was an apocalyptic disaster. Overcooked bacon and a flyover squadron.

Great tranquil location

Such beautiful rooms and definitely one of the most unique stays I have ever had. So nice having the loungers in front of the beach and a really lovely pool area to lounge about with great sea views. The jungle vibes were amazing and such a nice place for some tranquility. Just a note, if you’re not in any of the front rooms it’s quite a hike to get to your room, it’s a beautiful walk but something worth knowing!

I stayed in two different rooms and had issues with both showers running cold however the stuff were prompt to have their technician come and rectify this. Also, the restaurant on site wasn’t the best, the hot food on the breakfast buffet was cold one day and also I went there for dinner and I think you are just better off going to other restaurants in Koh Tao.

The most beautiful location

We stayed at the Ocean View cottages and we absolutely loved everything about it! The steps to get there are real but the view is insanely beautiful! The property is very well taken care of, the gardens, the beach area! Location was perfect as it was far enough from the parties but an easy 10 min walk through the beach when you need some action! We stayed an extra night as I did not want to leave

Great value, spectacular location

it is is an unbelievably beautiful setting, and the gardens are spectacular. The bungalows we stayed in were so well designed to blend into the jungle landscape. A few things to note when considering booking here (these are not problems, just things people like to know about a place) - it's a great beach to swim in at high tide, but not great at low tide. Still fantastic to laze around all day long. - the front office staff can arrange everything for you and at very reasonable rates (scooters, boats, taxis, there is no crazy hotel markup) - the minibars are super generous and free, and restocked daily - it's a good base to explore some other beaches for superb snorkeling by scooter or taxi - the restaurant was okay but not amazing. Getting to the main area with all the restaurants is a good 20 minute beach walk or a 5 minute taxi - I've seen a lot of reviews saying that the staff are not helpful, but they really are. - We were a big group of 7 from ages. 9 - 78 and we were all happy

The unfortunate geographic cove seems to catch music from one club from right across the bay. It is so strange because you can't really hear it anywhere else. It certainly didn't stop all 7 of us from sleeping well, but it is worth noting.

Absolutely loved Koh Tao Cabanas! Beautiful lodges with really comfy beds and a luxury rustic feel! We had the honeymoon suite which had a fantastic view and its own mini pool too! Loved the location, only 5 minute walk down the beach to main area - great for sunset drinks. Staff were so helpful and friendly as was everyone on the island that we encountered. The restaurant is amazing and delicious food! Worth every penny

A fabulous beach stay with gorgeous accommodation and views

We stayed in the sunset cottage. The views were spectacular. The room was fabulous, as was the balcony with hammock and sunloungers. The cottage was spotless and cleaned every day. There was complimentary snacks and drinks in the fridge that were restocked every day. Breakfast was excellent, there was a wide selection of food in the buffet and also an a la carte menu that you could order from. Lots of coffee choices too! Service was excellent, staff were very attentive and helpful. The grounds are beautiful - there are a lot of trees and greenery and because of that some mosquitos - complimentary bug spray in the room was a nice touch! Pool and beach area are lovely - we always managed to get a lounger and it was never too busy.

Brilliant barefoot luxe experience in adorable accommodation -

Stunning barefoot luxe at end of lovely Sairee beach. Booked whitesand villa as while I would have loved outside bathroom my daughter gets awful reactions to mossie bites so went for indoor bathroom. Loved the little villa so stylish and comfy beds. Amazing views. Great pool. Short walk along beach to centre of Sairee but location was quiet. Good snorkelling from hotel, lovely views from restaurant (good breakfast). We also went diving at Big Blue. All really wonderful and enjoyable. I have to say I’ve seen a few reviews on other websites complaining that it’s not as luxe as koh samui. Koh tao is a different, much cooler, more laid back island. This place is what I’d call barefoot luxe - it’s fun, beautiful and has definitely been - Along with the island itself and the diving and snorkelling - the highlight of our trip.
