The room is great, considered the price. The location is good, it is a bit uphill but it wasn't a problem for us. We easily found parking 200m away. The bathroom is small, but clean.

The acoustic isolation isnt't great.

Perfect stay

It was perfect!!!! The host is very helpful, home is in perfect area. In the middle of center. Carparking was fine and near the apartment. The home inside is very clean , modern. We were 4 adults. I love everything about the home.

I really did like the people, and the location is quite nice if you don't mind walking uphill a bit. There are adequate amenities.

What I could not get past, which kept me up all night was how dirty it was. It led me to not feel comfortable covering myself with the covers or touching my face to the pillow so I didn't really get much sleep. I couldn't have stayed for more than a night. And considering that the price is the same as some of the top hostels in the city, which I know for a fact are immaculately clean, there really is no excuse.

Great hostel, the staff were very nice and helpful. Atmosphere very relaxed and laid back. Great place to meet other travellers. Owner was very helpful and let me park my motorbike inside the fenced area at night and suggested places to visit in Greece. Great experience. Good value for money

Not bad if that's your last resort choise but mind a few things

It was reasonably close to the city center. Parking your car nearby was not an issue. Nice view from our room's window.

They cut the electricity in the yard at 22:00 o'clock sharp and close the main kitchen/lobby. When we were there they shut it down while we were having dinner so we had to finish in the dark using our phones' flashlights. We were supposed to wash our dishes using a kitchen sponge that had not been changed for ages. On a side note - if you happen to wish for a hot shower you shall only turn the water heater yourself beforehand (it is off by default) and switch if off while using it. Quite inconvenient for a party of four people sharing the same room.

Pleasant

Nice and relaxed place on a very quiet street in the charming old town. Gotta climb the hill to reach it from downtown but it's no doubt a pleasant walk. Super friendly and helpful staff. Fresh bedding free of charge. A small public parking lot (no reservations, just try your luck) is available nearby, should you arrive by car.

Although we stayed just for one night, the extremely uncomfortable mattresses, the stained pillows, and the ultra stinky blankets ruined it all, what a pity.

One night in the old town.

Friendly staff, very clean and comfortable, nice garden and bar area. In the old town.

Breakfast was cheap but not very good. Up a steep hill but that's the way the old town is and taxis are very cheap so not a big problem.

Nothing

My room was overbooked. Nobody from the staff was in the hotel. They wouldn't answer my 10 phonecalls or emails. I had to wait 2 hours for someone to respond. The bed was messed up when i got there. Simply bad.

Quiet Place up on the Hill

The room is like a small apartment. You have a kitchenette with a fridge, sofa bed, table with chairs, a balcony to sit outside and even a TV if you really need one. The hostel is up on a hill in a very very quiet street. You will not hear any street noise. I do love the neighborhood - it has a village feeling. Check in and out was fast and painless. Staff is friendly, and the whole place is relaxed. It was quiet at night and in the day. You can chill on the balcony or downstairs in the small seating area.

The mattress in the bed was totally gone. I used the sofa bed the second night. So much better!

Very good

I booked this place for 2 nights based on the recommendation of another traveler I met in Zagreb. I arrived in Thessaloniki 2 days earlier and rather than extending my stay at Studio Arabas, I decided to book somewhere else. In the end, there's nothing wrong with this place. I had a pleasant stay and the place is good, but the other place I stayed before (jetpak alternative) was much better in my humble, personal opinion.

It's a little far in the upper town.
