All great except one thing

The men (3 of them I think) who work at the reception are really great. That is probably the most positive thing about the hotel. The room was big enough and clean. TV and AC worked well. I have no complaints except...

I did not like that they have a rule that people are not allowed to visit you in the room. That was not stated in the polices on booking.com. I usually do not book those places. Thankfully they let my friend 2 times but only for 10 minutes! Really stupid. They should put that in polices: no visitors allowed.

I don't mind shared bathroom as long as it's clean, which it was. The room, linen, towels were clean too. Cheap simple option to stay overnight in Thessaloniki. The staff were professional and kind.

Impossible to sleep without earplugs. Windows are old, you can hear a lot of noise from the main street all night long.

The price was ok.

I asked for the address before arriving but never got it. The road outside is extremely noisy. Invest in sound proof windows. The shower floods the bathroom. It clearly needs renovations.

Old and rusty, with some vibe.

Location is great! 15 mins walk from the Aristoteles square, several bars and food places nearby. Staff was nice and kind. There is cleaning during the day, they change towels and tidy up the room. It's an old hotel with low price so I understand it's not that easy - but with some renovation or small fixes step by step it could make this a good place. Currently, sadly it's not one.

The main problem: there is no heating. In summer it's not needed, but in winter it's crucial. There is an AC but so old that it literally gave me sore throat. Smelly, sometimes even gives burning smell and very loud. Windows are old so cold air comes in. All in all, I was super cold and sick when inside. Also there was an odd smell inside, I suppose smoking is prohibited? The room was small and simple, no kettle or any kind of extra service, no common area, kitchen, bár, anything. Bathroom was again very simple, no bathroom curtain. And I got only small towels not big.

The TV in the room is very small - a 19 "computer screen. It is very inconvenient to watch it on the TV. I did not get bath towels but only a face towel, very uncomfortable to use with a face towel. There was no bath soap, there was only hand soap. The bathroom is uncomfortable to use, there is no curtain and all the water is spilled on the floor. I was promised I would get a room with a balcony, there was no balcony in the room I was given. The bed was very very uncomfortable, the sheet and blanket were uncomfortable to use, for 3 days my whole body itched and red spots appeared on my body
