Morningside Cottage

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Morningside Cottage. The staff were absolutely incredible. I arrived on a late flight into Cape Town International Airport, and I only got to the property at around midnight. Simphiwe, one of the ladies who lives on the property, was there to greet me and opened up the security gate when I buzzed. I was delighted to be able to park my rental vehicle in the secure parking on the property, which was a few steps away from my room. The room itself was spotlessly clean and had everything I needed. A spacious room with a comfortable, king sized bed, and two chairs. A large ensuite bathroom with a shower. There was a safe in the hanging cupboard. There were coffee and tea facilities on the small desk under the mirror. There was also a fan on another desk under the wall-mounted TV. Heading out of my room, there was a large patio next door, alongside an immaculate pool. Some tables and chairs were set up for al fresco breakfasts. Inside the large communal area of the property was the breakfast buffet area with more tables, a little lounge area with a lending library bookshelf, a kitchen, and the reception desk. There was also a little honesty bar with snacks, crisps, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages. Guests are welcome to take what they need, mark down their purchases in the honesty book and then settle up later. The breakfasts were fantastic. Frank cooked my full English breakfast perfectly and it was a great way to start each day. There were also cereals, fruit and yoghurt, preserves, orange juice and a coffee and tea maker on the breakfast buffet. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with every aspect of my stay at Morningside Cottage. I had a comfortable night's sleep every night of my stay and I awoke refreshed and ready for the day.

Oh it was such a quaint place, gorgeous gardens, friendly staff, easy check in, easy to find & safe. Close to the beaches where I needed to be & there is a convenient store & other stores close by. Definitely will book again.

Tranquil retreat over the Christmas week. Room was functional and clean. Communal area is nice and peaceful with pool and lounge area.

Great place in Tokai, comfortable and clean. Very friendly staff. Have stayed there a few times now and will do so again. Very quiet and secure location.
