Comfortable stay, would use again

Location was ideal.. easy to walk to everything nearby, kitchen was fully accessible woth everything you needed, nice and warm cosy

Really the only let down was the fact that there is no parking. There are obviously car parks nearby, but for an overnight/weekend stay that works out to be very expensive. Would be better if they could offer a temporary permit.

Very poor value for money. Noisy location and noisy creaking floor above No had pre booked breakfast so they didn’t serve any. TV remote/TV didn’t work.

Zero customer service, stay somewhere else

The room and kitchen were clean

An absolute farce trying to gain access to the property via the door code provided. Tried countless times but it would not open. The same code got us into the second part of the hotel with no problem but we were located in the opposite section. There was no one at the property and the contact seemed reluctant to help being more interested in treating us like idiots and apportioning blame. This almost cost us £36 that would have been lost on a guided tour that we had booked so time was of the essence. The worst experience I have encountered in over forty years of travel. We also had to contact the owners when the television remote would not work, they claimed the batteries had been changed the day before, an absolute lie. Once I changed the batteries with the remote from another room it worked perfectly. The owners were the least customer friendly I have ever encountered, they clearly work on the theory that the customer is never right. Frankly I would choose a better alternative, it would be hard to choose a worse one.

Clean, very good location, recommend

The accommodations were clean, well-maintained, and sufficiently spacious for two occupants. A notable benefit is the inclusion of a fully equipped kitchen. The location is optimal, with convenient access to grocery stores and a diverse selection of restaurants offering various cuisines directly across the street. Given the competitive pricing and prime location, I highly recommend Regency House!

Perfect for us, great location and very comfortable. Only gripe was that the tv aerial wasn’t connected but WiFi was excellent so able to watch on iPad.

on the second floor, no elevator. Not a problem at all for us but if you have mobility issues this room is not for you. Small private suite but you have to go out of the bedroom into the hallway shared with another room upstairs to go to the bathroom

Right by Parker’s Piece, it was a great location for a night out in Cambridge. We had our own shower room which was nice, but having access to a shared kitchen was really useful. - especially when I woke earlier than friends and went and made tea and did not disturb them while they slept.

I had the single bed in a family room and the bed was just too hard for me. Probably ok for a youngster, but tough on my 55 year old bones!

The room was tiny for 3 of us. Barely any head space. £180 was a lot for a cramped room, breakfast not included in the price.

The property is well located

Everything else. The room was in the attic up several steep flights of stairs. The room had severely limited head space with the double bed pushed up against a wall with access only on one side. It was virtually impossible to get into bed as the ceiling was so low over the bed. As we couldn’t use the room safely without a head injury we left and checked into a suitable hotel nearby. Room 16 should not be sold to anyone! It is not useable. Very disappointed by the hotel’s response. They are only interested in getting money for a hotel room that isn’t up to standard.

It was super pleasant, location is amazing!! Great for short stays.

It was very spacious and cozy; it had a heater and a fan. There were plenty of towels, which were soft and large. Lots of places to hang your coats/clothes. I liked the big windows so I could wake up to natural light, and it was facing inside the building ,and not outside, therefore, not a lot of traffic noise. Every amenity mentioned was there so I was satisfied with my stay.

The sink was a little small but still usable! The light over the shower space was broken and did not turn on. I had to shower in semi-darkness; luckily, the light over the toilet still worked. There was no body soap, only shampoo, conditioner and hand soap. The shampoo didn't feel very shampoo-like, but it could just be my sensitive hair.

Clean and central but noisy and worn mattress

Very centrally located, well appointed and clean.

Being located next to a beer garden meant that it was very noisy until midnight. When it was finally quiet outside I discovered that my mattress was worn out with the springs piercing my back. Since sleep is the core function of a hotel it didn’t make for a very successful stay unfortunately. Otherwise the hotel was absolutely fine.

BED BUGS.

I woke up with Bed Bug bites. I notified hotel immediately and despite that, they continued to check people in to my room even after I had left. Hotel has deflected the matter, trying to avoid refunding me, suggesting it was flies from the park or I had left the window open over night. I didn’t enter the park over my stay, and the location makes it too noisy to even consider leaving a window open.

Ok but not good value

You can park for free overnight at the nearby multi storey (6.30pm to 10am)

It’s not great value, although I guess nowhere is particularly cheap in Cambridge. Room is only a bit bigger than the bed, so felt cramped. It’s loud at night in summer as there is an outdoor pub so you can’t keep windows open for fresh air. For this price you also really expect soap dispensers to be filled when nearly empty.

Overall we had a nice stay.

Very central , easy to walk to everything. We had a late check in and it was very easy self service, very clear instructions and hosts were very communicative. We also could store our luggage for the day.

A university residence with a five-star hotel price.

There were several issues during my stay. The street was noisy all night, and the single glazed windows were unable to filter out the noise. There was no clear description or instructions regarding the room assignments. Room 16 was extremely warm, making it difficult to sleep. The property is overpriced, and there are more convenient and centrally located hotels available.
