The location is stunning. The villa was so spacious. Plenty of room to put away all our belongings with some to spare. Sleeping was pleasurable. The bed was incredibly comfortable and their was no outside noise distractions. We loved eating at the restaurant or in room dining as the menu was extensive and the food was delicious and so fresh. The staff were very friendly and kind and couldn't do enough to help. My husband and I were very happy with our spa treatments too! You could not ask for a better view.

Our only criticism is sometimes we felt the staff were a little overbearing and trying too hard. As soon as you got up to look at the breakfast buffet they zoomed in and wanted to serve you. Some guests may enjoy this level of service but we like a little more space and are quite capable. We are are sure it is what expected of the staff. It's a shame Kelapa is so far from the airport because otherwise we would become regulars.

The accommodation was excellent, clean, the room was spacious, the food was great, and the service was outstanding. The massage was exceptionally good. A wonderful holiday for those who seek peace and quiet and want to enjoy being by the ocean. If you want to rent a scooter, you need to give a 3-day notice

We were thoroughly spoilt at the beautiful Kelapa retreat! The staff, accommodation and food were all amazing! The property is about 3 1/2 hours drive from Denpasar (traffic dependant) but we wanted to try something different and were so glad we did. It was breathtaking, the rooms were so well equipped and the grounds are spectacular!

Fantastic multi kilometer long beach with not a single soul in sight. Nice waves too, fit for swimming.

Food seems a bit overpriced , which could be justified by the secluded location.

The environment is extremely well-maintained and looks amazing. The atmosphere is cosy and calm. The swimming pools were amazing. The property is close to the beach, where they give softboards for free to enjoy the waves. The restaurant offered exquisite local cuisine and good Western options. The staff is extremely polite and helpful. All in all, everything is up to expectations at this price point and it is definitely one of the best properties in Bali.

I would enjoy more free activities, e.g. free available surfboards.

The beach was stunning, with beautiful waves and unforgettable sunsets that made each evening special. Overall, a perfect mix of warm hospitality, comfort, and natural beauty. Highly recommended!

Really far away from Kuta and Ubud (3-4hrs just driving one way). Balinese food is experimental for Western taste Mosquitoes (but Resort tried their best to help us not get bitten)

- Location was excellent with a beach right at your doorstep. Although its hard to swim cause of currents. - Staff were super helpful and super nice. Really A+++ - Room was very nice. The one we stayed was excellent as it was the corner private villa with a pool. Really nice and has some level of privacy compared to the rest. - Bed was excellent and was super comfortable. - Room space was excellent. Very big and was very nice to have so much space. - private pool was great and nice depth to swim a few strokes. Really great stay. - the pictures from the property is real and very true to what we had when we stayed there. Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back. The place is really peaceful and an excellent place to just relax and take it easy.

It would have been great if they had more local choices and it was more authentic to the local cuisine. - would be good if they presented the food btr and have proper bain-marie for guest to take the food and to keep it from having insects have a go at it. - easier way to travel to the town. rental bikes would have been great. Not always we wanted to have a driver send us.

Food quality can be improved

We visited kelapa retreat as family for an approx. 9 days vacation. Very quite place directly at the ocean. Very nice beach with dark almost black fine sand....nice long beach walks are possible. The food is very good in the retreat. Good cocktails, too. We can recommend the jeep tour very much...great all day tour with a trip to waterfalls including swimming in the nature. We booked the residence which was very big for 3 persons (6 would have fit easily)...but all villas seem to be reasonable sized. Rooms were very clean (checked 2 times a day) and also the service was great. The personal pool was extremely big 20m or so....but also the public pools were very nice, too. The resort has a remarkable garden (super !!) and it is located in an old coconut planage ..so a lot of room for everyone...so the place is pretty quiet and for sure not overcrowded. The massages were also very relaxing...tried them all...all with a speciality and outstanding. The ocean is directly at the retreat..so one can see it and her it all day. For us the ideal place for relaxing, slowing down, detoxing from city life, extended beach walks and some excitement with the (jeep) tours. We will come back....

The transfer from airport to the location is somewhat stressful....nothing the resort is responsible for but it can take 3hrs, there is only one big street to West Bali.....so best to consider the 3hrs when planing departure and arrival.

Beautifully designed property directly on the beach. Great onsite restaurant, their breakfast is worthwhile. We found our stay to be very relaxing and we appreciated the onsite offerings, we didn’t really leave the grounds for 3 days. The location is fantastic if your are looking for a remote getaway, it’s great - but if you’re looking to dine out or explore, there wasn’t much nearby and we skipped long car rides (and heavy traffic). It was great for us, highly recommend! The staff are very kind and attentive.

What an incredibly beautiful place! We had a villa with a private pool and sea view and it was just super nice. If you love secluded, quiet places, this is the place for you. The staff were super attentive and helpful, the food was very tasty and the beach is perfect for lovely walks.

Kelapa, meaning coconut, is a selection of villas all facing the sea. I love being so close to the beach. The beach is a long stretch of dark sand that at low tide, you can walk almost endlessly. I encountered line fishermen from time to time, and beach dogs who mostly are busy playing with each other and with crabs. This is a little piece of heaven. Additionally the chef is excellent, so my two main concerns - a quiet beach and delicious food - were perfect at kelapa. The dining staff are also superb.warm and friendly and never intrusive. Wera in the spa is brilliant my ayervedic treatment was top notch. The manager is also worthy of a mention, as together with an excellent house keeping young man, they moved me seamlessly to a suitable room when there was an issue with the one I was put in. I should say that I stayed here two nights to settle into Bali ahead a weeks training elsewhere, and I was so happy here I came back for 2 nights at the end of the trip, which had not been the plan. Thank you kelapa I will be back!

Some of the rooms need a little extra care but when there was an issue with one room the manager immediately arrived and completely understood the issue and found me a safe alternative.

Kelapa Retreat & Spa in Pulukan, Bali is a true oasis of peace—tucked away from the noise of the cities and far from any traffic. It’s the perfect place to relax in luxurious 5-star conditions, with clean, carefully prepared food and an atmosphere that encourages deep rest and reconnection. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the incredible attention to detail. We stayed in a private villa with its own pool, featuring a spacious bedroom with a huge, comfortable bed, both an indoor and a dreamy outdoor shower under the palm trees. The linens were spotless, and towels were refreshed regularly. Housekeeping visited twice a day to ensure everything was clean and that we had everything we needed. Bottled drinking water was replenished regularly—both in the bathroom and bedroom. Every evening, we returned to find the bed turned down and a small offering delicately placed on it—a thoughtful and touching Balinese tradition that made us feel truly cared for. The restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes, all delicious and carefully prepared. We tried many different meals and had no digestive issues whatsoever, which is not always a given when traveling. Everything exceeded our expectations. The retreat team clearly puts great effort into creating a high-quality, well-rounded experience. Each day, they offered different activities such as yoga, village tours, cooking classes, beach BBQ nights, or breakfast in the lush green garden. It’s a place that feeds both body and soul. We felt absolutely amazing during our stay, and we highly recommend Kelapa Retreat & Spa to anyone looking for a luxurious, peaceful getaway in Bali. It’s at the very top of our list for our next visit!

We had such an exceptional stay in Kelapa. Our villa was spacious and cosy, the outdoor shower was amazing and the pool with the ocean view was fabulous. The beach is beautiful, with palm trees and nice waves. We also enjoyed sampling the local food in the restaurant, every thing was super tasty and beautifully served. But what really made our stay were the kind people working there. Thank you to you all for being so open and accommodating, we felt instantly at home in Kelapa 🙂. We definitely plan to come again and this time stay a bit longer to explore this part of the island. If you search for a place to recharge and relax, away from the buzz and crowds, you will find it all in Kelapa:-).

Honestly, it was incredibly difficult to find any faults during our stay at Kelapa, the hospitality, co-ordination between staff, the staff themselves, the views, the restaurant, the room, the massages, the cocktails, the private pool over looking the ocean were all 5 stars, every staff member went out of their way to ensure we had the most amazing time while not only at Kelapa but in Bali! Shoutout to Putu our driver who made every adventure outside of the Retreat one to remember, thank you Putu!

The only things about this trip that were not comforts we prefer, were that there was no TV in the room as there is not much to do at night and that they serve Beef bacon rather than Pork, again incredibly minor just comforts we would prefer.

All in all it was our first vacation in Bali/Indonesia and I am 100% sure we couldn't pick a better hotel. - The staff will go the extra mile to make you feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible (literally nothing that we asked for was a problem); everybody was always smiling and very nice to us - We booked the ocean villa with private pool and it was absolutely amazing; you have your own pool 5 meters from your bed and a private garden with coconut palms and view of the ocean - We always ate at the resort's Tides restaurant and even after 7 nights you just cannot run out of options and you’ll always find something you like; you have a selection of dozens of local Indonesian/Balinese specialties but you can also have a taste of west cuisine (we had margarita pizza and it was more Italian pizza than in 50% of European pizza restaurants); also drinks were truly amazing (world-renowned drinks but also local ones) - Breakfast was included in the price and you have an enormous selection of local fruits, sweets, bakery, vegetables, noodles, rices, ... and some of the products are changed daily (+ you have á la carte selection from eggs, bowls, ...) - Water in the ocean was very warm with great waves which is lot of fun - The staff is also organizing daily free activities within the resort (cooking classes; bonfire; coconut products..) - Overall the resorts looked very clean, safe and exotic at the same time

Best Room Service i witnessed in my life, visiting twice a day and ensuring 24/7 comfort. Place is perfect far from traffic and noise. Clean accommodation and facilities. Nice restaurant with fair prices and diverse menu and staff. Private beach and pools. Nice collection of free and paid activities. Fully available administration and office.

We had a pool beach front villa (number 12) , no one on the beach, friendly staff , beautiful grounds No shops We did the the turtle sanctuary trip and we released some 2 day old turtles back into the ocean for their 20yr odyssey Great open air restaurant /bar breakfast was included.

Could have been some background music, a singer with a guitar on defined days Bit of a journey ( 3 hrs by taxi) but worth it
