Altfraenkische Weinstube

Breakfast was amazing and set out and ready for us every morning. The gentleman that checked us in was very friendly and showed us to our rooms and was able to squeeze us in for dinner at the hotel without a reservation. The food was delicious, building was quaint and clean. A fun and unique place to stay. Location was also perfect- you could drive your car up to the hotel to unload, then park outside the city wall, which was only a few minute walk away. Hotel was close to city center and within walking distance to everything.

This was not the hotel's fault, but it was extremely hot the week we went. It would have been nice to have another fan in the bedroom. Luckily it did cool down at night! Would not change anything else!

Clean and cosy, quiet and quaint; well-decorated. Perfect stay for a get-away. The room had a standing "insta-cool" machine that helped very much. Breakfast and dinner served at their restaurant were delicious and ample. We could pack breakfast leftovers in take-away containers and they reheated leftovers from our dinner after we took a needed walking break in the evening. Hosts are attentive to details and very accommodating to our requests. Location was great; parking outside the city walls was just a few steps away. Distance to the activity of the city was perfect — quiet without feeling isolated.

Ventilation in the bathroom would be nice.

Quirky and unique

Quaint.

We booked two rooms and even though we had a confirmation email for both rooms they informed us they only had one room and no other availability. After showing our confirmation email they called around to find us another room. I half expected them to pick up the cost for the additional room since we had prepaid and the reservation was nonrefundable but they did not. They made no attempt to correct the situation. Very disappointing.
