It was the right choice to stay within the city walls, & to stay at Eisenhut. Room was large, spacious, clean & tidy. The interior was very modern & comfortable. Location is everything to us. It's right next to the Christmas shop (literally next door) & close to the town hall, thus giving access to many eateries. Downside, room rates are on the pricier side. Also, no parking available. Had to park at a public parking space outside the city wall which is 15min walk away.

Booked this hotel for the long weekend in Germany and the town holds a festival where the citizens dress for the period. The hotels has a nice deck behind the main hotel with a lovely view to look out and have a drink or dinner. The location of the hotel is near all the landmarks of Rothenburg. A great starting point for your stay. If you opt for breakfast book separately because it is a little cheaper then advertised if you book with the room.
