Grassmarket Hotel

It is in a perfect location. Neat and clean and even though there is a pub attached to the hotel it is quiet.

Brilliant location.

Rooms have very small, dirty windows.

Great location

3rd floor room involved walking up 2 flights and an elevator for only one flight. Other than that it was a great location and great service.

I didn’t really like the property so I guess if the staff is the property it would be that

I didn’t like that they advertised an elevator. The elevator goes up 1 floor. The u must get off and walk up the remaining floors. I didn’t like they offed if u paid for breakfast next door. Next door is a very busy bar that is like literally in the hotel. The glass bar door is 5-10’ away from the front desk. They cover the door with a curtain. One day the curtain was open and seriously all u saw as a bunch of guys backs up against the doors cuz the place was packed. Which of course comes with a noise level. Considering this the noise wasn’t too bad. Except when ur sleeping and they decide to clean up the bar right below ur window. Banging bottles between 3-4 am. I didn’t like that somewhere it said they were a great location. It’s not bad but I disagree. I had to walk everyday up a hill to get to places. The area I was in could take an hour 2 at the most to photograph and not return. But because I heard how special this place was I paid a higher price for it. And was very disappointed!! Bummer. Just my opinion.
