Not a issue but only a couple of sun loungers at pool side lots of chairs but if you planned to stay there for the day it wouldn’t be so relaxing on a chair

A perfect restful visit

The Welcome from Sydney, everything ready prepared, and we also got a Historic pack,. We member of staff took us to see the great hall at breakfast, theTeam here really look after you. Nothing is too much trouble, and you feel very looked after. The team are fabulous.

We liked everything, the food, the buildings, the Team, everything is wonderful.

Can't recommend highly enough.

Everything & everyone! The most therapeutic break I have ever given myself. The way the place is managed & run is a microcosm of how this country should be run. Although the prices are high, this place is not merely a hotel. It is a museum (art everywhere) & deeply historical building & grounds. I was working often, on a laptop etc, and there are several lovely areas in which to do this. It feels far more homely than I expected. And I ended extending my stay because I have been so stressed for years and this felt like therapy. I didn't want to leave! There is even a kilner water jar at the entrance filled with filtered water with lemon and a bowl of apples which you can help yourself to. Fresh melon etc at breakfast. An absolutely beautiful place and no one objected to my wandering around, absorbing the history of the place. The Great Hall is a must-see.

The vegetarian breakfast was awful, sorry! The fake sausages would be better if just as the Quorn variety. However, the avocado on toast with eggs was great. The fresh fruit also. I didn't eat much else there but, the few things I did have were very good, Padron peppers, hummus, for example.

For my Fiancee's 60th birthday celebration, we could not have chosen a better place to stay.

Breakfast and dinner was outstanding. The fillet staeak was expensive but, it was the best that I have ever tasted

The tv in the room was very old, out dated. If staying in such an outstanding room ("Dawn" in the Upper Chamber), I would have hoped for a better quality picture and sound on the TV. Quite a cold room but, I understand, the time of year and "leaded windows", meaning that the additional oil filled radiators were needed.

Such a magical stay!

My girlfriend and I stayed here to celebrate our anniversary and it was amazing ! Staff were so accommodating, as I arranged to decorate the room they assisted and were super helpful! Everywhere was so clean and tidy despite it being an old building. Food was incredible we had breakfast included and it was so worth it. Pool and spa facilities were lovely clean and relaxing. Immie one of the spa staff was so welcoming and helpful over all such a lovely stay would definitely recommend and visit again when in the area 10/10

Tranquil place to relax

Quite and cosy atmosphere. The ceiling height of the room is higher than most commercial buildings which makes the room very comfortable. Also the room size is generous. Love the decoration style. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great，both the food and the dining hall. The spa opens until 10.00pm which is amazing so I can enjoy myself after kids go to sleep.

Island of tranquility in a truly magical surroundings

The property is gorgeous, I think it looks even better in person than on the pictures. It was easy to find, quiet and beautiful surrounding. Service was great, everyone was kind and helpful. The gym was reasonably well equipped for strength training!

We should have planned more in advance as they only had one massage slot available over the weekend.

Just Incredible! Very scenic!

The hotel itself was stunning! The weather wasn't great so we couldn't enjoy the scenic walk.

The Spa Facilities should have closed off connection from hotel door to the spa entrance door (like a tunnel). The reason being because the weather wasn't great and people tend to feel unwell from leaving the spa and walking around in the cold but everything was else was jist incredible! Will definetly come back and this use the Spa facilities.
