Moor Hall Hotel & Spa

Room was good and clean, bath was lovely with very hot water and a great shower. It was nice to get a free upgrade to a room with a view on our arrival. Breakfast was amazing and a great selection. The pool and facilities were very good and clean. Good selection of gym equipment. All staff are friendly and helpful. Bar food was also very nice.

our second night stay was not as good as the first as some of the guests above were extremely noisy until the early hours, including use of what sounded like a hot tub on and off along with music and singing. This was sorted after reporting to reception. The price of drinks in the bar seems quite high, we feel the bar also could do with some sort of music in there even if very low background music. The chairs in the room were extremely uncomfortable. More info about the pool use and times would be useful in the room.

Breakfast was very accommodating lots of choice and really nice. Also had food in bar rather than booking restaurant as same menu choice. Friendly staff and quick service. Spa lived up to expectations would stay again.

Nothing to dislike. If being picky little bit of dust in bedroom which I wasn’t really bothered about.

Cap on shower drain and hair caught in the drain strainer- so water seeped out of shower and flooded bathroom floor. Carpets in hallway was shabby. My room carpet needed to be cleaned- it looked like someone had vomited on it.

The radiator in the room needed bleeding and made a gurgling noise all night so we had to turn it off plus the bedding was very thin and more for summer than winter which meant we were very cold all night

Noisy and no lift. Had to carry my heavy bags using the stairs. Very noisy as well and floor creaking above me

The rooms are extremely tired. I’ve stayed numerous times and this was the most tired room.

The setting was beautiful. The venue itself was lovely, and had just been set up with Christmas decorations. Lovely staff, comfortable rooms and could not fault it.

The breakfast was very disappointing sadly, the English breakfast was completely cold as stated by several guests. The food options were limited. We de used to leave breakfast.

Just a bit uncomfortably cold in the bar and restaurant. But they’re big spaces so maybe just difficult to warm them up.

Attention to detail. Food ,excellent evening buffet. Poached eggs as standard buffet choice great at breakfast

The only negative the advertised room on booking.com was not the room we stopped in unfortunately this was a little upsetting as I expected to get what the picture said I would.

The coffee in restaurants for breakfast especially was terrible. I expected a little more from the spa facilities but it was nice enough. Very little to complain about really. The coffee was literally the worst thing and it’s so easy to change that!

We had to wait nearly an hour and a half for room service - sandwiches only. That said, they knocked half the cost off the bill and apologised, so not bad really.

our room was tired and very outdated ! Radiator did not work so an oil filled radiator was provided ! very noisy you can hear everything from the surrounding ron’s and our room was dark view of a wall! Bathroom was very dated and compact and noisey

The full body massage I got in the spa

First off I paid for this room on the 13th September and paid £154 whilst booking I read through all the small prints and did not see anything about a deposit. Upon checking in the guy at the reception stated if you could just tap your card or your phone, I was confused as when I go to a shop to buy something I’m always told how much I’ll need to pay but didn’t get this I had to stretch over and look on the card reader to see how much I was paying which I thought was poor customer service. The guy then said this is a deposit for any accidental damage to the room, I was in a rush as I was running a little late to my treatment, I said could this be taken off if I order room service or go to eat at the restaurant he said yes this can be done. I left my partner in the room whilst I went to go get my treatment upon coming back my partner noticed dirt in the bath hairs and a brown rim around the bath, I took pictures as the bathroom was a disgusting state. We ordered room service the food was awful and some of my partners food had missing items which took them a hour to go and get. Secondly upon checking out the staff was rude no greetings from them I had £20.25 left to pay as the room service food and drinks came to £70.25 the guy stated that’s it and handed me a invoice I was confused but I was in a rush as I had work so me and my partner left and started to put our belongings in the uber it was only when my partner noticed they’ve just charged me £159.80 I went onto my bank and that was just the case we went back in and asked the staff what the hell they just done the manager came out and she was unhelpful and rude and stated it was a mistake and she processed a refund. Overall disappointing stay I checked my bank on the Wednesday following the day we checked out and on the 22nd they took £209.80 they are crooks and now I am having to go back and forth with booking.com as I am so angry I can’t even speak with them as when I have tried to they have tried to deny taking

Room we were shown was horrible but staff gave us alternative which was much better. However bed too narrow and pillows too hard

I paid 150 through the system for one night, and when I got there, they charged me an additional 50 pounds in processing fees. Also, the women working at the bar never bothered to serve me drinks. I was kept waiting for over an hour. I will never go to that hotel again.

They charged us extra and didn’t take care of us. We couldn’t get drinks from the bar and were kept waiting for over an hour to go to our room.

Our shower drain was blocked so shower tray filled very quick and didn’t drain for ages and there was a terrible smell in the morning coming from the drain, I did report to reception in check out

The historic old building and associated history.

The room was very comfortable but would have appreciated a mini fridge in the room. There were signs of mould appearing in the bathroom. The shower was very cramped.

Not particularly clean, room was very noisy with delivery lorries from 5 am and loud family parties until 1sm

The location was very near to the British Masters Golf at the Belfry.
