Air conditioning was not working in our room and had to complain

Staff welcome, location, comfort & cleanliness all excellent.

We had a lovely executive room but the bathroom was unfortunately very dull and dingy. The light levels were very poor.

Loved the staff and their welcomes. Great room we had everything we needed. Breakfast was excellent. And a fantastic location.

Location was great, breakfast was great & staff were great .

Our room had a view of the back wall of the national gallery…… and I’m assuming that because of the hotel situation there are no rooms with a pleasant view(which I had requested when booking). It doesn’t seem like a 4* hotel….. bathroom grouting was a little shabby, the magnifying mirror on the bathroom wall was just hanging there and couldn’t be positioned with its light also not working. If you sat on the bed against the headboard the bed would roll away from the wall. We were informed when we arrived that the hotel air conditioning system was not working and an electric fan had been placed in our room…… it was a hot two days and the fan didn’t suffice !!. It seems that on reading reviews when we got home that the air conditioning hadn’t been working for at least two weeks prior to our arrival which we weren’t made aware of…… it seems like if you complain at the time you’re offered a 20% discount but if you don’t complain you get offered nothing !!!!On our last night part of the lighting in our room “blew”…… no bathroom light and no bedside lights.
