This place is incredible. Somehow they have managed to take a building that belongs in a museum, and make it feel like luxury to live in. There were a lot of lovely little luxury touches, such as treats in the kitchen, high-quality luxurious bottles of soap et cetera in the bathroom, and spa type robes.My elderly parents and I rented the deluxe cottage. I would say that this was quite challenging with the stairs between the downstairs living area and the upstairs bedrooms, bathroom, and shower room. So it is definitely not easily accessible for people with mobility issues.

Place was recommended so thought I would give it a go. Very satisfied all round. The staff, room, food, evening meal and breakfast all good. Village and location very nice and imagine it would be stunning in the summer. I will definitely look to stay again. Other people were a mixture of business and pleasure with walkers and cyclists using as a base.

I booked this thinking it will be in the city centre, turns out it was not..
It was a little outskirt, definitely not possible without public transport. However, it turns out to be the best stay I had in UK with the friendly staff and an absolute quiet and peaceful town feel.
Recommend for those who really want a quiet getaway!
