Great value, friendly service, good comfort and a few added bonuses.

Very friendly staff. Questions answered thoroughly and info explained clearly. Huge, comfortable room, including the bed. It was 2 singles pushed together but we were okay with that. The bath was a jacuzzi which was a pleasant surprise! Sweets, biscuits and even herbal tea available. Great heating system, easy to control. Many thanks.

The mirror light wasn't working so putting on makeup was a challenge! Would have reported it at the time but we were in a rush to go to an event so just got on with it. The car park was also a bit bumpy in places, probably due to all the rain! None of this would put us off staying again.

Good value and the room was fine. No serious complaints.

Hotel a bit further from the centre than ideal, perhaps I should have checked more carefully, but still walkable (it's mostly flat). Though breakfast was adequate, coffee was only provided in a flask rather than freshly made, I'd hope for better.

Location was good but we missed the entrance the first time because of the road works

We were in a bungalow not the main hotel. The gap between the door and the frame let the light through and the central heating was noisy keeping us awake

Sweets in a jar was a nice touch!

Lovely hotel, easy check in and greeted on arrival. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. The room was very clean, comfortable, quiet and everything available for one night stay, kettle, toiletries, towels ect. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. The hotel has Lots of rooms, good parking and well looked after, with lovely outdoor garden space to use in summer.

Ideal location for getting into town, lovely quiet setting for bungalow style rooms. Bar area had comfortable atmosphere with a wide choice of drinks and excellent decor.

So disappointed

Staff were nice. Not there fault

Everything. Old ,run down…Our rooms stunk to high heaven of god knows what in all honesty an old musky smell. They charged us twice by accident and had to wait for a refund which did come. Breakfast was ravaged by a huge coach party before anyone else could get any. Nothing else being cooked that was just it. Rooms were dusty curtains at least 20 years old. The bed had 1 pillow that was thinner than what I would imagine you would get at a HMP service. On top of the pillow was a throw pillow, the type you have on a sofa for decoration. This must have been 20 years old the dirt on the edges of the pillow was putrid. The bathroom, Christ…mould everywhere in the grout. I was devastated to have paid 200 pounds for 1 night for 2 Rooms. The worst part it was my mother in laws first time in a hotel for 20 years. I was so embarrassed .

Tatty,filthy carpet in reception, in much need of a paint everywhere. All felt a bit dated and grubby. Loads of limescale in kettle.

Rooms are well equipped in lovely courtyard settings. Disabled room was very nice. Great breakfast and staff were relaxed ,friendly and couldn’t do enough to make your stay enjoyable

Great price, good location with ample parking, rooms were a good size and in a lovely setting. The bar is lovely in the evening for a quiet drink

Bed was two single beds 'put' together - extremely uncomfortable and hard to sleep on. Not even a mattress topper!! Breakfast was OK but quite overpriced for what it is - if you have any kind of allergy it's a bit of a waste of money It was very very cold in the room overnight, nowhere to turn on heating Reception could probably be a little more welcoming

Very good and very enjoyable and relaxing

Lovely breakfast and very nice staff.

Hot Tap in room has a problem when turning on which could be dangerous as it comes out suddenly and fiercely. Door was quite difficult to open and we did get a bit panicky trying to get out. Thought we were stuck inside. I did report to reception as I left.
