The Room was Very Spacious and was comfortable and even though it was 2 Flights of stairs above the Pub, I didn’t hear any noise from the Customers Below.
The stairs (2 Flights) were very awkward to climb as the stairs were very steep and tiny steps in a circular staircase (not straight up). Being 60 years Old I felt it difficult to climb with bags, etc. There was a spider joining me in my 2 night stay, in the bathroom and there was also No Hot water in the Kitchen area to was my Coffee mug properly if I wanted an alternative Tea or vice versa.

Very large room, bur main focus to sleep.
We had booked for a double and single bed, but were given a double plus two single beds.
Pleased to have own badroom with shower. Water pressure was not particulary high, but managed it with the shower.
We both slept well, only for a 1,90meters tall person bed can be challang, but I slept ok in it.
It is like lot of hotels above a pub quite old, hence expect this. Not dirty but not fancy new, but living the years in the hotel.
Bar can be in summer noisy when expect to sleep early, but this is what tou have to expect when sleeping in a bar.

The Inn used alternative accommodation in Brandon House Hotel across the road. This is a newly refurbished historic 18th century house. It was well decorated, very warm and very quiet.
The room lacked a chair and table, so was a bit sparse.

Immaculate, great space, easy access, and so much room.
Nothing, as it was really well presented.

Good enough for what I needed, a good night sleep. Room and bathroom looked clean, a bit dusty perhaps.
Had to pick-up the key down stairs in the pub. The room was fine.
There was no breakfast option. And I had to drop my door key some where (unclear where) as i left around 8.00h in the morning, and no one was there intill noon.

I had the room on top floor. Very spacious. Recently refurbished and painted. Nice bed, view in 2 directions
Accessibility to the room was a bit difficult, but that is typical from an historical building.
Mirror in bath room not above the fountain.

Lovely big room. Big windows. Fabulous shower and comfy bed. Good wardrobe and bedside cabinets.
Maybe needs a little more furniture; maybe a table or chair or somewhere to put your suitcase.

Location very convenient and quiet. Ample parking. Fridge and microwave were convenient.
This applies to the "Garden Room" in the old Brandon House. Extremely scruffy entrance to the building did not convey a good impression. Carpet had not been hoovered and there were snail trails across it. The kettle had to be scrubbed out before it could be used as there were lots of dried black bits in it. The bedside table had a couple of very sticky marks where drinks had been spilled and left to dry. The duvet cover was not particularly clean or ironed. Dirty floor in bathroom.

Definitely not a 4* hotel
Mis sold as room wasn't in Ram Inn, was over the road at Brandon Hotel. Awful place.
Room is stark & dreary, no pictures hung
Like staying in a hostel
Dirty windows, that don't close
Cob webs everywhere especially on windows, around bed, spiders in corners of room
Large cracks in wall that look structural
No soundproofing - woken at 6 every morning, next door showering
Bedding dark & dreary, not clean looking, stain on top
No suitcase rack
No furniture to put the kettle on
Nothing in bathroom to put washing bags on
One towel for 2 people and that was dirty

I arrived at the hotel only be told that the hotel was fully booked. I arrived by train and was told there was space at a different hotel "down the road" but this could only be reached by car.
I do appreciate that they found me alternative accommodation and drove me to the alternative hotel but once I was there I was completely stranded in terms of getting back to Brandon Station since I didn't have a car, there's no Uber nearby and there isn't really public transport between mundford and Brandon except for a bus that runs once a day.
I purposely booked the ram since it was walking distance to the train station. I contacted 5 different taxi companies in a panic in order to get a lift to the train station and not a single company had an available driver at the time I needed, which was just before 6am for my pre booked train back to London. The only reason I managed to get back was because of the kindness of someone I met.
If you're going to be staying at this hotel I would recommend arriving by car in case something like this happens to you. But honestly I think I would recommend you staying at one of the other nearby hotels instead to avoid the hassle I went through.

Disgusting service, we travelled 5 hours to stay here for a wedding the next day, we stopped at services to eat and I read an email telling me they cancelled our booking as they overbooked, said they tried to call but I did not receive a call and my phone is connected to my car! When we spoke on the phone the lady said it was because the people who stayed the night before wanted to extend their stay, no thoughts about those who have booked months ago and paid!
Very unprofessional and should not be allowed to keep doing this, there was another couple who travelled from Spain and had the same issue...

Difficult to get in. Probs with key and lock. Only negative.

Good value. Clean. Room was neatly renovated with basic facilities but everything our family of 5 needed. We had expected some noise as thought we would be above hotel but our room was across the road in Brandon House which was nice and quiet and had plenty of room for parking. Staff were friendly.
We were very happy with everything :-) Some people might have issue with stairs but was not a problem for us. I don’t think there was a lift but I didn’t go looking.

I was shocked at the state of the exterior, which did not match the photos on the website.
The exterior was in an extremely shabby condition, with paint flaking on all wood work indicating at least 10 years of neglect. The bedroom was untidy, with crumpled duvet cover and pillow case.
The shower door was missing and stacked up in the corridor outside.
When I phoned the number on the website, I continuously got no answer and no facility to leave a message. I was told by the bar attendant that she would attend at 6pm to speak to me. I then told the bar attendant that I wished to cancel and to have my money refunded, she gave me £80 in cash. This hotel is not fit for paying customers.

Clean bedding and clean en-suite
Mattresses comfy
Dogs allowed at no extra cost
The cleaners were friendly
Booked 3 nights to visit parents nearby
Sadly could only stay for 2 nights due the noise /lack of sleep
On arrival I was told the family room I had booked was not available? However 5 minutes later Room 6 was available ?
I had read poor reviews prior to booking but felt it would be ok to “sleep “
How WRONG I was
Traffic noise I understand on main road but rowdy singing swearing till 1am I didn’t expect.
The place in desperate need of TLC and updating. A mirror and maybe a small fridge in the room would be helpful
We seriously took a chance but despite not having high expectations we couldn’t stay another night
Such a shame

No bedside lights or plugs, very noisy till very late at night/ early morning , very poor drainage in shower and very long run off for hot water.
5.0 / 10.0
location convenient, clean bed sheets and towels, bathroom clean, complimentary toiletries
the property was very tired, door knob falling off door, tea & coffee was at floor level under TV, plugs inaccessible, no toilet brush on arrival, man hanging out of window topless speaking to drunk man outside on a bike, looked like a drug dealer... realised it must be a contractor's cheap hotel, no breakfast arrangements, no staff available for the hotel only a member of staff behind the bar when pub open

The staff were very helpful and friendly at check-in. The room was spacious and the bathroom brand new and both were spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable, and we had 2 nights of excellent sleep. The building is obviously under a comprehensive restoration a and upgrade, we look forward to seeing it on completion. The parking was also very easy. We would have no hesitation in staying again.
The lock on the front door was fiddly, but am sure that will be rectified

Staff were friendly and it was fairly local to relatives we were visiting
Left a piece of jewellery in the bedroom. I contacted the hotel the day after we left. They said it had been found and they would send it to me. It's been two weeks now and still not recieved my brooch!

No more rooms at the pub side hotel so sent over to Brandon Hall. Walked over and homeless guy greeted me. He tried charging at me until i turned around then he walked off.

The staff were lovely and friendly. The room was newly fitted to a high standard. Would like to come back and see it when it is finished.
Don't judge a book by it's cover. The outside appearance is awful but seems a work in progress which is a mammoth task. 1 hand and bath towel between 2. 1 wire coat hanger. No hairdryer. A window cleaner and clearing the carpark would make so much difference to appearance. It is a shame to moan as the room and staff were lovely..
