Room was clean and bed comfortable...asked to be near a lift and was accommodated for with no issues...staff were friendly
Unfortunately a few things arose during our stay...we booked 4 rooms and our first morning( Saturday) we were woken at 7.45am with workman drilling and banging..when I informed reception I was told that maintenance is not supposed to start until after 10am nearer checkout time....Sunday morning was fine but on our last morning 8.30am it happened again..
We asked about the parking on check in for the duration of our stay and was informed that it would be fine the cameras are not working on weekends...only to find out this actually finishes at 3pm Sunday and you supposed to purchase a ticket after 4 free hours....so now we are waiting for a fine in the post on 2 cars...which to be fair reception did say on checkout the can revoke the fines, just ring when they arrive( we will see )
Our Sunday night after a busy weekend celebrating my sons 30th birthday was ruined by a netball team running through the bar/restaurant then continued to play loud music and screaming up/down the corridor...after a phonecall to reception and a visit by their coach this was sorted...however...during checkout my husband went to the toilet in reception area where coming out of the toilets was mocked and laughed at by the same girls and filmed on their phones...The Royals Netball Team...disgraceful behaviour....Our weekend has been more downs in this hotel than ups...I have stayed here before and am extremely dissappointed....

Great location for meeting with family from Leeds and Horsforth
Table booking , we were allowed three hours , hotel stayed that the hotel was busy on the Sunday evening

Friendly greeting on arrival. Room was a good size. Gym and pool were really nice, and amenities were also good
There was no warning that a party with loud music would be ongoing until 1am below our room, which kept us awake. When we finally got to sleep we had drunken men running up and down the corridor shouting at full volume about pizza and banging on our door and trying to enter our room continually. We would have gone down to complain but we did not want to run into the people making so much noise. We had a terrible night's sleep and for that reason would not return to this hotel. Disappointed as we heard it had a good reputation and we feel let down.

The swimming pool
Rooms need updating with two double beds not a metal framed sofa bed I wouldn’t put my dog on.
Problems need to be fixed when reported (eg. Shower drain clogged resulting in bathroom flooding)

Follow up service to make up for my room not being ready for occupation.
My room had not been cleaned or made up for occupation following previous guest.
Also I ordered lunch and a drink as suggested using the QR code/app. Asked where my drink and food was after 15 minutes. Waiter went to kitchen and came back to carry on moving tables but no update. Food came out quite quickly but no drink so had to ask for the drink.
Took the last parking space both times I returned to the hotel

The location was good and there was plenty of parking available.
The room and decor was dated and the beds were very uncomfortable.
The facilities were basic at best and the staff made minimal effort to acknowledge and welcome us during our short stay.

Excellent location for our trip
Shower was poor and the water was not warm, despite the bathroom having several warning stickers referring to really hot water. The irony was not lost on me.

Nice size room and like the coffee amenities in the room.
Couldn't find the heating in the room so was cold all week. The mattress is not comfortable. Breakfast is very limited/small for such a big hotel. Not the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in. Can be better

Convenient for visiting family
Couldn’t accommodate an early breakfast so we had to go without even though it was paid for. We were offered some pastries in a bag but this is medically extremely bad for a diabetic. We were told that was all that was available.
We also paid for 24hrs parking (Sun-Mon) and were hit with a parking ticket when we got home!!! Thankfully the appeal process was easy and the ticket was cancelled but it should not have been sent in the first place.

Location
The decor in the rooms is tired due to constant use. Needs investment to refresh. Could not get near the bar for pre dinner drinks due to some sort of darts event. It’s less a hotel and more of a noisy community centre.

No back entrance from the car park so got wet as it was raining walking all the way round to the front entrance

I liked the breakfast, the gym and pool etc
Our room smelled bad, the shower head had mould that we asked to get cleaned up. The jacuzzi had something sharp and got a deep cut on my foot because of it.

The room wasn’t the cleanest, it was very dated. No air conditioning and the toilet was blocked
8.0 / 10.0
All good, nice breakfast & evening meal, comfortable bed, friendly helpful staff.
Draft from the window, there was a howling gale the night I stayed, the blind was moving due to draft coming through the closed window, this caused an error message on the heater below the window.

I booked a twin room, confirmed it on the phone call i received a few days before we travelled and received a double room instead
Could do with a nice lounge area that is not in the bar or reception area
5.0 / 10.0
Guest access to the gym and spa facilities. Great pool, jacuzzis, steam room and sauna. Buffet breakfast was very good and very reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The reception area is open to the main bar and a coffee shop and is also a thoroughfare for residents and non-residents accessing the gym and spa. This makes the public areas very busy and noisy. The self-checkin desks make the reception look like a video game arcade The main bar is a sports bar with TV screens and darts boards so the overall vibe is "rowdy". And this is the only hotel I have ever stayed in which stations bouncers around the bar area to keep watch on the clientele. Gives the impression the management is expecting something to kick off. So if sports bar vibes are not your scene you probably wouldn't like this hotel.
Our room was on the first floor and we could hear loud music from the public areas below. Not sure if it was from the gym or maybe a wedding reception. It wasn't so bad we couldn't get to sleep but then again the noise might have been dampened by the storm outside (80mph winds across the country the nights we stayed). If you are a light sleeper this could be a problem.
Our room was clean and comfortable but showing signs of wear and tear with scuffs on walls and tatty-looking uPVC window frames. Surprisingly for such a new hotel the availability of bedside electrical outlets was limited to a single socket each side so no good if you wanted to use the lamp, work on your laptop in bed and have your phone close while it charged overnight.
Maintenance of the fabric elsewhere in the hotel doesn't seem to be a priority. Our room looked out onto the exterior windows of other rooms which had wooden frames with significant peeling paint which will inevitably lead to rot if not dealt with. Wear and tear was also evident in public areas with scuffed walls and stair rail paintwork worn off. So the glossy new look of the exterior is somewhat undermined by a bit of scruffiness and apparent lack of care for the interior.

Check-in was quick, room was clean.
Breakfast was chaotic and badly organised. Staff were struggling to restock food, plates, bowls....The only coffee available was instant coffee in sachets, breakfast tea ran out. Long queues formed for the hot food (much of which ran out). The few members of staff seemed to be hiding.

Location is great. Facilities are fine and room was perfectly adequate.
Have stayed a few times at the village but it is starting to feel tired and needs some love. If now feels like a sports facility with rooms rather than a hotel with leisure facilities, appreciate that they are making the most out of the facilities but you feel like you have wandered into a club and I felt a bit out of place this time.

Everything was great but the room needs attention the carpets are stained the dust behind the bed on the window ledge the bathroom had human hair in the shower cubicle.
Location breakfast gym and staff.

Location for our event
The hotel is really run down. Our room was covered in stains on the carpet, the tv didnt work and the bathroom has had more touchup repairs than a patchwork quilt. Absolutely overpriced.
