Brilliant staff, excellent facilities brilliant breakfast.

The breakfast was brilliant and the restaurant staff were very attentive. Good range of food, from continental breakfast to full-English break. Definitely recommend! Coffee is great! I really appreciated the care from the reception team. I needed to alert them that I would be late checking in (after 21:00). They were very accommodating. The room itself was fantastic, with a very comfortable bed. The warm shower that I took shortly after my arrival was perfect.

I found everything to be of a very high standard. Very happy and would happily come back at some future time.

Pleasant hotel

Our Deluxe Double room was large, bright and comfortable - the bed was enormous. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. There is a bus stop close by making it easy to get into the city centre. The Stables Bar and the Brasserie both served great food. The car parking was free.

My daughter felt her second floor Premium Family room with two double beds was dated and not very clean which was disappointing.

I have stayed at this hotel several times and always enjoy my stay. I had a room upgrade, courtesy of the hotel this time which was fabulous 👌. Gentleman on reception was welcoming and efficient, a warm welcome always enhances a visit. Would highly recommend, 5 star 🌟

An unexpected return! Yet a pleasant one.

I had a different room from the one I had a couple of weeks ago and it was miles better (The last one wasn't bad either). Very comfortable bed, Clean, Quiet, and booking in/out easy. Had evening meal in the connected pub next door, where the staff are friendly and the food comes by an efficient waiter/waitress.

I had a desk to put my Laptop on, However there wasn't a chair in the room to sit on? (258)

Fairly disappointed despite the reputation.

The room was very clean and easy to get to.

The heating was not working to the point that I was shivering during the early hours of the morning of my first night and as a result I caught a cold. I reported it the next morning and was given a portable heater in the evening. I then had to figure out how to work it. Having paid extra for breakfast both mornings, the cooked breakfast was nice but it was almost cold. Maybe the temperature needed turning up on the hot plates.

The hotel looked to be well maintained and the staff were really helpful. I arrived late and nothing was to much trouble for them.

Not a great experience

The room seemed clean.

There were several issues with my room. There was no AC, it was impossible to put the radiator on, and it was quite cold. There was no soap and shampoo in the shower. The fitted sheet had a very noticeable hole. There were bad chips in the wall paint. The mattress felt quite old and lumpy. There was no cover on the peephole. The noise from the corridor was very loud when someone walked past the room. There was also some noise from the road nearby.

2 night stay

The breakfast was great each morning and the breakfast staff good even when busy. Beds comfy. Staff friendly on the whole.

We had a family of 4 there and only got 2 towels, 2 biscuits with hot drinks each day so had to use the towels wet and go biscuitless as the kids got them. We could have asked for more but we're tight on time and shouldn't have to when booking for 4.

Good size room and comfortable bed in a well located area for a family event.

Would have been great had it not been for the disturbed sleep due to the floodlights.

Comfortable room, attentive staff at breakfast, keen to advise due to dietary restrictions.

MAJOR problem was a flood light right outside my window, giving daylight white light. I woke up several times during the night due to the apparent daylight showing around the curtains. These lights do not have to be on all night, can I suggest turning them off at midnight.

Great staff, all in all great hotel

The staff were excellent from start to finish of our trip. Location was great. The hall was very beautiful and scenic. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was very good and had vegetarian options.

The shower was a bit poor. No conditioner or body lotion provided despite saying toiletries were. So didn’t bring any which was annoying and the shower curtain near completely blocked out the bathroom light so was hard to see. Air conditioning didn’t really work either. Which was a shame as paid extra for it.
