A stylish, relaxing stay in a vibrant part of Edinburgh!

The Bruntsfield Hotel is a total mood. My room was incredibly stylish and served as the perfect relaxing retreat after exploring the city. I loved the calming, contemporary design—it felt very "quiet luxury"—and having a proper coffee machine in the room was a much-appreciated touch for slow mornings. The real star of the show, however, is the location. You’re right across from the Links (the park views are stunning), and the neighbourhood is packed with personality. It’s a dream for anyone who loves wandering through independent coffee spots, artisan eateries, and unique boutique shops. It feels much more authentic and "local" than staying in the direct city centre, yet all the main points of interest are still within easy reach. Highly recommend if you want a stay that’s as chic as it is convenient.

Lovely hotel and location but too hot in the rooms!

An Excellent Hotel close to main attractions or linked to other main form of transport

Comfortable room in a busy part of town, beware traffic noise.

Very comfortable bed in a pleasant room. Helpful and courteous staff. Nice dining room and good selection for breakfast

My room was at the front of the hotel which is on a main road. The windows are not double glazed and the constant traffic noise meant the I didn't get much sleep. I should have asked for a quieter room, but by midnight I felt it was too late.

Lovely hotel! Very recommended.

We got an upgrade for a bigger room, which was a pleasant and wonderful surprise. The hotel and room were super comfy and we had a lovely time. The breakfast also was really good with lots of options from the buffet and menu.

Unfortunately, it was not possible to open the windows in our room, therefore it was quite stuffy, but not terrible. We notified the reception on our last night. They tried to open but realized that for some reason it was impossible.

Very good sized bedroom and ensuite. Lovely bathroom. Robes. Sofa in bedroom. Tea and coffee facilities. Bed comfortable.

Rude and unhelpful staff, minus a young male waiter at breakfast. No plugs anywhere near a mirror. Asked for an extension cable. Wasn't able to facilitate. I can't be the only one asking for power near a mirror! Bedroom clean on surface but carpet smelt, hairs on bed

Really nice hotel in great location

We were travelling with our dog and we were given a lovely room on ground floor with easy access to outdoors. There was even a dog bed and feeding bowls in the room.The room itself was really nice. Large, comfortable bed , super shower and a nice selection of teas and coffee with tasty treats

OK for one night

The hotel is very close to the centre of town (only a fifteen minute walk) and the room was very spaceous and clean.

We didn't have hot water or heating after 10PM and needed to ask the hotel staff to turn it back on since it was freezing cold outside. There was a ventilator in the bathroom linked to an opening in the window that is impossible to turn off/close, so the bathroom was also freezing until we were able to request heating again.

Good hotel, disappointing reception staff

Central location, clean well decorated rooms

A member of the reception staff just ruined the stay to be honest. On check in, the key card did not work and staff were arguing with each other. I also left my laptop keyboard and when I phoned the receptionist was exceptionally rude and said they don’t keep a lost property log. My husband honestly and spoke to a manager who was very helpful and called back having found it in minutes. I stay in Edinburgh regularly but wouldn’t want this stress on check-in again. Front of house should be professional.

Perfect stay and great location.

Room was wonderful, spacious and with a lovely view. The location is fantastic: the city center is a short walk away, and you have easy access to a lot of local little shops and restaurants in the area. Staff is friendly and helpful. As a solo traveler, I felt perfectly safe.

Excellent stay for one night, Great superior room with excellent facilities ad Breakfast

Arrived at the hotel to find no problems with the parking. Check in was quick and the room was spotless and exceeded our expectations. Great greeting of a Whisky and Gin. Facilities were great with all as described on the booking. Sleep was peasefull and comfortable and the breakfast the morning after was fantastic with a wide range of choices. Checkout was quick and painless.

Friendly staff and ease of check in. Executive Double room was good size and very comfortable. Very good breakfast

There was no hot water, even after running the water for a long time it only managed to be luke warm. Expect to have hot water. Our room was 111 furthest from reception, so maybe all the hot water used by other guests before reaching us.

Beautiful hotel

Beautiful hotel. To our surprise we had an updrade to executive room which was large, clean and comfortable. There was coffee and tea in the room and was and warm inside. The hotel is nicely decorated for Christmas and we were always greeted with a smile.

A nice hotel that was perfectly situated for our needs in Edinburgh

We had a very nice comfortable room which was dog friendly and was ideally positioned in Edinburgh (near Bruntsfield) for what we needed. Good parking on site.

It would be better if the parking was included in the price.
