We chose this hotel because of its location, which is truly phenomenal, especially when you travel with children.

The location convinced us to choose this hotel. The accommodation team on the 6th floor was very nice and attentive. The lifeguards were very friendly at the pool, but unfortunately, guests reserve sunbeds starting at 8 a.m., which is a bit excessive.

This isn't a 5-star hotel. It could use some renovations in the rooms and, above all, the bathrooms. Getting in the elevator is next to impossible!

A good location - the "all inclusive" package was "very limited" unless you pay extra!

The location is fantastic, the pool area is great, the staff are friendly. we have stayed twice in this hotel, once with breakfast and diner, this time "all inclusive"

Asked 4 times before we arrived for a low floor, when we arrived they did not have a low floor without paying for an upgrade! We found this disappointing. They do not show the "ALL INCLUSIVE" menu anywhere online. So you cannot see what you can actually get. The restaurants all have menus, if you are all inclusive you get a different menu with limited food and drinks on it. So not really "all inclusive", plus the super buffet meal they boast about every saturday is not included in the all inculsive paskage, you have to pay extra. The horizon buffet was nice but can become repetitive.

Absolutely amazing! Would stay again.

We loved everything about the hotel! As it was December the decor for Christmas was amazing. Our kids loved exploring the huge Christmas tree in the foyer. The room was great and had the best view for us every day. The location was amazing you can walk to so many places - although it can get really just with traffic at times. The restaurants were great and the gym was spacious and clean too. The kids loved the pools and it wasn’t too busy.

I wish there was just a few more options in the buffet restaurant for kids as my son is picky - but the chef was nice enough to make him some fries when he refused to eat anything. And the lifts got so busy at times you could be waiting up to 10 mins.

I really liked the hotel! The area is just top, you have everything, a lot of restaurants, beach, the marina and the citylife. The view from the room was great, the room it self so big and beautiful. Breakfast very good!

The situation with the hotel lifts is awful, we had to get rescued by a member of staff after waiting over 20 minutes on our landing trying to depart and get to the airport on time, at peak times it’s impossible to get on a lift.

one day there was a party at the pool. no one mentioned it. it was impossible to sleep at all, the music was playing very loudly, no one was dancing. a big deterioration in breakfast, less choice, mess, the service was not up to par

Staff were exceptional - everyone was so nice and welcoming. View from the room was breathtaking and the room had all you would need! Perfect location and close to stop for hop on hop off buses. Best choice at JBR

Second time at this hotel and very happy with my choice. Location is perfect, have done some renovations. Breakfast is amazing with a lot of choices and a stand for free range eggs made at the moment for you. Access to the beach and a good pool.

Fab week away

The hotel was perfectly persitioned, near all transport, we didn't use uber once. Would recommend getting a silver Noll card. It cost 25 Dirham to buy, then you can top up. You tap on and off. Hotel was perfect, no faults at all and the staff were amazing and bent over backwards to help. The hotel has 5 restaurants and we used them all. The food is brilliant and always a good choice. The reception and doormen went above and beyond their jobs and always polite. The bar staff were fantastic, especially mikee at the pool bar and sweet at JBs. They all work extremely hard. The pool area was clean and if you couldn't find a bed, the pool attendants went out their way to find one for you. We chose to upgrade our room slightly, for a full sea view, definitely worth it! But wasn't pressured into it. Regarding the rooms, they are so well equipped, loved the speaker in the bathroom, was awesome!! and the the cleaners came in every day, even if not requested, and were always pleasant to talk to. Will definitely return, one of the best hotels I've stayed in.

Family trip to Dubai

The location, the cleaning level. The staff were all amazing, very kind and helpful. Dilshan the lifeguard at the pool, was one of the most caring i have ever met, attentive and super cautious, we witnessed him saving a small child before our eyes . We were there on all inclusive basis, the food was very delicious. The pool, public areas all beautiful.

The main restaurant was closed for rennovation so our all inclusive meals were either the japanese or the italian restaurant. Even tho delicious but was too much of the same food for 8 days.

Nice hotel, but struggles when it's busy.

Newly refurbished rooms are quite nice, and balcony has plenty of room. Location is pretty good for pedestrian activities and beach proximity. Staff were pleasant and helpful when there were issues.

We went during Eid, so the hotel and JBR was extremely busy. Check in experience was terrible. We advised we would arrive early, and I understand this does not guarantee anything, so when we got to the hotel, we were asked to take a seat and wait 45-50mins for room availability. We were told someone would tell us when the room was ready. There weren't enough staff manning the desk, and the lobby was crowded and chaotic. At just over an hour, I went to check. The assigned room hasn't been prepped and they couldn't tell us how long it would be. We got a complimentary buffet lunch at Horizon as compensation. The buffet was basic and there was about 30 mins before it closed but the thought was appreciated. We went back down and the room still wasn't ready. I think they switched rooms for us in the end. The newly refurbished rooms are nice, but lack of carpet means you hear everything going on overhead - tables and chairs being dragged, footsteps and children running around... The biggest issue with the Amwaj, which they acknowledge and plan to address, is the insufficient number of elevators and the fact that you can be waiting an unreasonable length of time to go up or down. Often 3 elevators would come and go because every one was packed and too full for us to get in. They encourage use of the stairs (fire escapes), which is fine going down a few floors, but not a viable solution overall. Lastly, there is a taxi rank outside on the opposite side of the street. Be careful of the "ubers" touting double+ the normal price. The government taxis also park here and will quite literally ignore you or wander off if they catch wind that you are taking a "short" (local) trip, even though they aren't allowed to decline fares. If you want a taxi, insist the hotel staff at the entrance call one round for you. Get in, and then identify the location. We had "ubers" offering us 50dhs fare to go to Marina Mall.

The location and proximity to the beach is excellent,it was a trip down memory lane for me,I was last in the area in 2019 with my wife

The entrance to the foyer has a sunken floor and it did catch me out as I missed the step down I stumbled down ,luckily I caught myself before I fell down,but it was still a bit of a shock,can’t see the purpose of it

great hotel!

We had a perfect family stay at this hotel. We booked the standard room with sea view which opened up perfect views from the 6th floor apartment and balcony to jbr beach, the dubai ferris wheel with a beautiful light show every evening. exceptional friendly hotel staff, always ready to help and inform. great breakfast. location in dubai marina is also fantasic, close to restaurants and entertainment and easy to reach with metro and taxi. there is also a pub, an italien and a japanese restaurant located directly in the hotel. pool and spa is also fantastic, clean and well taken care of.

there was one downsight which does not directly connect to the hotel but happened right in front of it and it is always worth to share such information with hotel and guests: we wanted to take a taxi (to also add to their business, not only uber and careem) which usually is cheap and works smoothly. right on the other side of the street from the hotel you can find a taxi stand. we walked over there and asked for a taxi and where guided to another car (not a dubai taxi) which was parked right in front of the taxis. of course, i asked if that is a normal taxi with taxometer and was assured it was. when we arrived at our destination, the driver wanted to charge me 4 1/2 times the normal price (i know this because on the way back i took a clearly marked dubai taxi) after 10 minutes of discussion with the guy i got him down to double price and payed because i was already tired of discussing this with him. the hotel should not allow such scams in front of their building or at least warn their guests as this just leaves a negative taste.
