A Stay with Mixed Impressions

The Olympic Hotel Montana is very well located, right in the heart of Montana. Its position close to the ice rink, casino, and several small cafés makes it convenient and pleasant for exploring the area on foot. Being situated in a pedestrian one-way zone adds to the charm and calm atmosphere. The room itself was spacious and comfortable. The bed, although made up of two mattresses, was good to sleep on, and both the pillows and bedding were very comfortable. The bathroom was also generously sized. A nice highlight was the large balcony with chairs, offering a view of a charming street and partial mountain views. Overall, the room met expectations in terms of space and comfort.

The hotel is not easy to find from the street, as the Amadeus Bar is much more visible than the hotel entrance. The reception desk closes relatively early, at 22:30, which can be inconvenient for late arrivals—we were checked in by bar staff instead. The elevator is extremely small and very old, making it unsuitable for wheelchairs or baby strollers and inconvenient even with luggage. It also stops slightly below floor level, which makes exiting awkward. Breakfast was disappointing: while the food quality was acceptable, the selection was limited and the breakfast room was overcrowded, often requiring guests to wait for access to the food. Parking is another drawback, as there are fewer spaces than rooms, both outdoor and underground options are very tight, and the cost of CHF 20 per night feels high. Considering the overall price of the stay, the hotel did not meet our expectations, and it would not be our first recommendation.

Great hotel and location

Clean and comfortable hotel with spacious rooms and comfy beds. It takes 2 min to get to the ski lift (but a few steps). Lots of restaurants around (prebook in winter). The breakfast was great and we loved our Swiss dinner too. We'll be back!

The stuff is very friendly and the place cozy

the third bed we got in the room was quite terrible. the head part of the “mattress” was lower and had a hole in between the two paddings.

For a one or two night stay the hotel is passable and is in an excellent location.

Breakfast was good and excellent location. Very convenient parking facility.

The bedroom that we were in is dated and had worn out brown carpet which today is unnecessary. The bathroom was small.

nice hotel but noise unbearable

the hotel was nice and in a good location

the noise from the nightclub was unbearable and we didn't get more than three hours sleep . it was also hot as we couldn't open the window due to the noise.

A lovely place to stay that's central!

The breakfast was simple but delicious. They also went out of their way to put flowers in the room for my wifes birthday. Thank you for that!
