Hôtel Henri IV Rive Gauche

The location across from a beautiful church was a plus. The staff was superb, friendly and eager to help in any way. I will stay again.

It’s a lively area so there is outside noise. Closing the windows solved the problem.

This hotel is in a great location - about a five-minute walk to the Notre Dame Cathedral and within walking distance to St. Chapelle and even, arguably, the Louvre. There are numerous restaurant options nearby. The Metro is also a short walk from the hotel.

The room was pretty tight, which is understandable given its location.

Firstly, meeting the Manager, Pamela....basically, it was like reacquainting ourselves with an old friend. From the moment we stepped into the lobby, Pamela's aim was to ensure we were about to have the most memorable 4 days of our time in Paris. I wasn't able for some reason to get internet on my phone in our room....no problem downstairs. However, Pamela was having none of that, when we returned from our first morning exploring the next day, we returned to be escorted to our new room, actually the one in the photo above....sensational. Breakfast was delicious, regardless if you had a simple brekky or chose continental. All staff were so very warm and friendly and English wasn't an issue for anyone, although lots of giggles at our French....our position was excellent, across the road opened to every Cafe one could think of, alleyways full of wonderful food, friendly people and shops for every purchase one would want. We had been in France for just under a month, and all I needed for gifts for family, I found right here. Also, a bus stop right outside your door, regardless of what or where you were off to for the day. Churches in the area, with wonderful classical evenings if one desired, which for us, was simply magical.

The fact that we couldn't book tours etc through Pamela. She was a wealth of information however, everything had to be booked on line. We found this everywhere throughout France and Italy and for Foreigners, at times it was very difficult. So Pamela would give us all the information she had, we'd grab an Uber out front and we just winged it.

The staff, Sabrina and Pauline at Reception; the Porter Sahib and breakfast staff were impeccable. Courtesy, friendliness, helpfulness, and a generally beautiful and welcoming feel at all times. The hotel is in the Latin Quarter and a stones throw literally ftom Notre Dame and Shskedpeare and Company Bookshop. Close to transport and many restaurants. I would highly recommend it. I was a solo 77-year-old woman, AND I could not fault the hotel or staff. I felt safe at all times. Viva le France Viva le Hotel Henry 1V and staff

There is nothing to dislike, and I have travelled to France before Europe. This hotel is simply the best!!!
