Village was interesting historically and the local people were very friendly and welcoming

Restaurant and service was very poor. Coach party given priority over service and food choice.

What a nice setting

The hotel is located in a beautiful village. The staff is helpful and kind, my room was clean and the bed new and very comfortable. The breakfast was nice, the staff helping serving breakfast was very attent.

My rooms was noisy, mostly due to guest talking in the corridors and closing the door with a lot of energy.

The receptionist was very pleasant.

The breakfast was only fair in my estimation. You could only get cold hard boiled eggs or cook your own. I prefer scrambled eggs. Other offerings were adequate.

The person who waited on us for dinner was rude and impatient with us because we didn’t speak fluent French. He offered help with the menu, but did not take time and listen. He put my partner down for his effort to speak French.

It was difficult in the shower to have the water at a constant temperature. It was either burning hot or freezing cold.

Fulfilled what we needed

Very nice location close to Colmar which was our target destination. Then also we see that city itself is very nice too. Hotel was covering standards for 1 night stay and late check out (11:00) was perfect.

Check-in is possible only between 17:00 - 22:00 So either you go to anywhere else late or you come back to hotel early. And you need to keep your logage because before between 11:00 -17:00 hotel door is locked. Very old building with very old windows. They are taking the noise direktly in but the location is not noisy. And also cold is slighly coming in to the room which is compansated with heating.

The walls are not very well isolated and we could hear everything from the room. From people in the corridor to next door's room. The staff were not very friendly

The view from the room was off some run down flats and over the retuarant outdoor area so quite noisy and smell of food wafting into the room

The shower filled up with water so quickly I hardly had time to wash, bad smell of sewer coming from bathroom, was clean but smells old, the guy doing the dishes and banging plates and cutlery when you have just woken and trying to enjoy an expensive breakfast was too much, spoilt the breakfast, I had tte impression I was eating in a metal kitchen! He had a job to do and stuff the clients!

A quiet comfortable stay in an interesting Alsace town.

It was a quiet and comfortable room for a reasonable price. We also had a good meal in the hotel restaurant, sitting on the garden terrace. Neuf Brisach is a lovely little town in the Alsace wine district with very interesting fortifications and a wonderful declaration by Victor Hugo on a plaque on the town hall.
