If the ceiling would be fixed it would have been a great stay

The room was spacious, clean and we had a nice view from the balcony. Also the bathroom was nice with modern features.

Unfortunately the first impression was not so good because the ceiling at the balcony door was in a really bad condition and it kind of ruined the whole experience. Also there was a light switch hanging out of the wall in the bathroom.

We keep coming back to this place. We love the breakfast. We liked it that you can order omelet for breakfast in addition to breakfast buffet. Breakfast buffet were cold cuts, yoghurt, fruits, salads, mueslis, bread, etc. The bed was really comfortable to sleep in. I like that the room was very spacious and that you had a balcony to view nature. We always love this place as a stop-over to relax after the long drive from Germany.

I can't think of anything that I didn't like. But for starters, our room didn't have a reading light on the desk. But that was all and Im sure that would be easy to be resolved.

Worst nights sleep due to being in a sweat box

It was modern and clean and by the water

There was no air conditioning which is madness for a modern hotel in France the temperature in the room was 31! And was hotter than the corridor!!

An excellent hotel, both comfortable and an affordable restaurant

An ideal location for our onward journey, excellent room and restaurant, we have stayed at this hotel several times and have never had an issue, always friendly, helpful and courteous staff, the rooms have always been spotless and clean, the food is varied and excellent.

Really lovely hotel that seems totally rural although it is actually near the road and town.

Everything! Such a surprise to have a lovely hotel. Our room balcony looked over the river, beautiful view. Then only a short walk to Briesach town for shops and the cathedral. Room was large, with a sofa area, spotlessly clean and in very good repair - everything worked as it should. Balcony had an insect screen, aircon kept it cool if doors shut. The rest of the hotel restaurant and terrace looked lovely too, but we didn’t have time to try on our short visit.

Gorgeous hotel. Fantastic location. You would not guess you were very close to a main busy road. The room was so beautiful looking out onto a small lake and nature reserve. Breakfast was delicious. We will definitely be back. We booked a budget room and were upgraded. The next time we will book this better room. Definitely worth the extra money.

This hotel is way overpriced. €12 per person per day breakfast. Such a rip off. All we could have was cornflakes, coffee was too strong. Breakfast table had bread with choice of jam, marmalade or Nutella. There were cucumbers and tomatoes, salad for breakfast? Not on. We were given a room that had paint and decorators in. Was given another room, but the smell of paint was not good. No tea or coffee in room only lemon tea and tisane!

Comfortable hotel. Lovely panoramic windows with deck overlooking the lake. Electronic shutters controlled from the huge bed. Very modern fixtures and fittings. Friendly staff. Good restaurant with varied menu. Adequate breakfast buffet. The hotel is situated close to the river and we had a lovely walk enjoying the autumn colours of the trees.

A lovely spot by the rhine for a very agreeable hotel with plenty of room to park and wander. Room was large and modern with comfortable bed. Restaurant on site served typical german cuisine which was an interesting change.

Room was very spacious, clean, comfortable, lovely views, interesting location with the Canal d'Alsace and the Rhine on either side of the hotel. We had a lovely evening meal in the restaurant and there was an excellent choice at the buffet breakfast. Plenty of safe parking.

A great relaxing stay we hope to repeat

Enjoyed a great stay at Hotel Le Caballin during the Rhine cycle tour. A great location and facilities were topped off with superb breakfast and dinner.

On a very hot evening we were would have welcomed air conditioning.

We would recommend the hotel to anyone wanting to spend some quiet time with good food.

Friendly staff. Owner drove us to the train station so that we would not have to wait for a cab. It has a nice restaurant which served very nice food. It was a secluded and quiet; nice to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.

Breakfast could have had more choices. But this is not a reason not to stay there.

Very nice check-in.

We booked quadruple room with seating area and get a double bed and to seats as beds. Very uncomfortable. Bad odor in toilet and shower. Non negotiable owner. Never again :(

was much bigger than I expected and our room was huge. wasn’t expecting a balcony. They offered evening meal which we excepted and were lucky to get a seat as it was so busy, the food was excellent.

Superb

Super good room with the pine smell. Everything was perfect. Also, you must try the dinner at 19:00, it is one of the major entertainments here. If you travel between France and Germany by car, the hotel provides totally relaxing night right between countries.

This is one-night stay hotel. Unfortunately, there is nothing to do around it.
