Lovely location.

Near the town centre only a few hundred meters from the beautiful market square.

Parking is at an underground car park under the market square, a few hundred meters from the hotel. Our car was too tall to fit and had to be left in the square, thankfully no ticket.

Pleasant, friendly and clean.

Everything was fine, very friendly and efficient staff. Very near to the town center.

Sadly Sint-Niklaas is going through a major rebuild of the Grote Markt at the moment which meant the walk into town was not particularly attractive. I'm sure when the work is finished it will be a splendid place to visit and a stay at the ibis will be well worth the time and money.

Good sized room, up to the standard expectred. Well loacteds in the centre of town with a very short walk to restaurants and bars.

Very tired and in need of refurbishment

Great location for our visit

The hotel is quite tired now. I have been going there every year since 2008 till 2019 and have always thought of it as my favourite budget hotel anywhere. However, this was my first time back in five years and it’s really looking tired and the quality of the breakfast, always a massive highlight of stay has dropped significantly to a level I would say it as poor. The place is in need of a refurbishment, like the town square is getting as the rooms are up to date. No usb c chargers, nothing near bed to plug a phone in. No kettle in room to make a drink. I am now looking at other options for next year.

The staff was not well trained

The room is clean and smells nice

The female staff on duty needs to be well trained, she does not understand the rules and regulations of her hotel. Imagine a room booked for two people and she was asking the other person not to enter and stay at the reception. It looked awkward . Her attitude showed she wasn’t ready to welcome guest into the property

Alright for 1 night

Everything alright

We decided to add the breakfast service last minute, 17 eur per person, but then we noticed all tables were dirty and the cutely was sticky, so we cancelled it. Fortunately they reimburse it.

Beautiful Ibis

The staff were always willing to help and didn't feel disturbed at all. There were no arguments, and they were really friendly. The WiFi was great and always available. The room had all I needed.

Good

Normal standard Ibis, nothing to say. Clean, nice, central location. Buffet breakfast with quite some choice for different tastes, worth the money. Sint-Niklaas is a bit boring as a location: nice but don't expect a lot from the town. The main point staying here if you don't have a special reason is that in contrast to the nearby fancy touristic cities like Ghent or Antwerp, it doesn't have a low emission zone in the down-town, so if you are travelling by car, this is the right place to sleep not far away from the touristic spots.

I don't know if the coffee machine at the breakfast was broken or it's considered "normal" but the beverage it produced under the name of cappuccino was just absolutely undrinkable. The rest of the breakfast was pretty nice though. No free parking at the hotel but not a big deal as you have some municipal parking spots nearby, free of charge on weekends.

Location was good could get to places we needed to be .

Breakfast wasn’t great , had to wait for bacon, fruit bowl mix didn’t look great should have been replaced.couldn’t find any tea spoons had to ask .

no tea/ coffee making facilities in the room and breakfast was an extortionate €16 per person ! needless to say we didn’t take them up on the breakfast

Good for a short stay

The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The blinds are really good at blocking the light, which made it easier at adjusting our sleeping schedule. The staff was really nice. We overslept and missed the check out time, but the staff gave us enough time to leave calmly.

The cups were upside down on the sink counter, not covered in a plastic, which made the cups look unclean.
