The perfect place to stay to explore Lake Bled while also enjoying some peace and quiet.

We had such a great time staying here! The area was quiet and peaceful, but only a short, scenic walk through the countryside to Lake Bled. We walked back at night without any issues, the road was lit enough and there was barely any traffic. The room was very spacious and the breakfast was definitely a highlight! Wish we had stayed longer!

Summer stay near Lake Bled

Our family of 4 loved our stay in Lake Bled. The accommodation was fantastic, with a well equipped kitchen that allowed for self catering. We made use of the bikes for hire and enjoyed time biking around Lake Bled and the surrounds. Exceptional property. Would highly recommend!

Nice place a bit far from Bled.

Nice staff. Good breakfast and parking. An alpine shape B&B hotel

Too far from Bled. A free one way bus to town, but had to Taxi back for $15. Euro from the Restaurant at bottom of the hill in Bled to Selo. Many steps in the hotel. No elevator. Small shower.

The perfect base for Bled

We always return to Pr’ Matjon when we come to Bled - the rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean, the breakfast is amazing and we always receive a warm welcome from Brigitta and her team. We love waking up to the views and tranquility of the village of Selo, just far enough from the tourist bustle of Bled but only a 15 minute walk to the edge of the lake.

Staff was very friendly and breakfast was great! In addition to a great selection of cold cuts, bread, spreads, yogurt, oatmeal and hard boiled eggs, we had eggs cooked to order!

The apartment was a great size for our family of 4. Very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. The hotel was beautiful and decorated lovely, and very clean. Breakfast was wonderful! They made eggs to order and had a buffet with lots of options.

EVERYTHING. Village location fantastic for walks — Lake Bled on one side, pastoral beauty on the other. Owners are very helpful and hospitable. Good breakfast too.

There was a small fridge in the room, which is very convenient. BUT: it makes noise. And it grew louder through the night. Also it is worth mentioning, that it is located in a small village outside of Pled. And there ist no (not even one) restaurant in this village. So you need to drive to pled for dinner. And find parking in Pled, which is an absolute nightmare. Breakfast selection is limited. I feel that I overpaid the room.

Selo is a beautiful little village within walking distance of Bled. Birgitta and her family made us feel welcome and a part of her extended family.

We were travelling with interrail and felt pretty tired when we came to the hotel, but we were welcomed with open arms and a very calm and kind atmosphere. The family that owns the place is really open, helpful and they have a nice humour. Breakfast is nice and the service is good. We rented bikes from them to go around the area and it was cheap. The area around this house is calm and not to busy with people even in high season. The walk from the house to the lake is not long and it’s pretty awesome and beautiful, so we where happy that we didn’t stay closer to town. We send a big recommendation and we are for sure coming back.
