Very clean room, excellent facilities Value for money

Formal nature of staff during dinner and breakfast, slightly off putting. Not unfriendly but not very helpful or overly welcoming. Smile goes a long way, especially in hospitality

A gem in the center

First time staying here. Location is brilliant, staff were very pleasant throughout the hotel. Breakfast was one of the nicest ive had. Beds were super comfortable and large. Showers hot and strong. I will be staying here from now if I am ever in Athlone again.

We had a very enjoyable stay!

The breakfast was delicious, with lots of variety. The location of the hotel was excellent and plenty of free parking.

The queue when checking in was very long. There was only one person checking in guests.

Lovely hotel, feels a bit more premium than the others.

It’s a nice hotel! I have stayed in a few hotels in Athlone now, there are a few differences between them but the main ones are even enough to be fair. The Sheraton feels a bit more premium than the others. It’s clean, well appointed and adjacent to a shopping centre. Food onsite is nice and staff are lovely.

Being a bit picky, the gym probably had too much equipment and not enough free space to free weight workout etc. Also one the doors in the toilets in the changing room had no lock. It was grand though and it wouldn’t put my off staying again.

It was Lovely hotel nothing bad I found.

It should of said on booking website to bring your parking ticket from front entrance to hotel to have stamped I am disabled never told me this if it wasn't for the gentleman security I would of been charged to stay in this free Parking. Make it clear that you need to bring ticket in with you to have it stamped. As Disabled visitors are really put out by this.

Overall staff were fabulous the room was spotless and I had a brilliant nights sleep

The room was fabulous the view was very impressive from the 8th floor. The separate shower and bath were an added bonus, we checked in very late after midnight Nol on reception was lovely, late checkin availability was the main reason we booked the hotel we were ringing on route for rooms a few other hotels did not answer:

The food available for room service I know it was late but it was very disappointing and limited to the point that I did not order anything I just went to bed and my son and his partner in the second room I booked ordered a pizza for delivery to hotel

Pre Christmas break with family

Super hotel. Excellent central location. Can get lift directly to the shopping centre. Got room service breakfast would recommend. Great atmosphere and staff are very good. I'm looking forward to another visit. Spa is also excellent

Lovely, clean, comfortable and welcoming stay

Great location, clean, comfortable with all of the room amenities you’d expect including access to Netflix on TV (just sign in with own details). Breakfast was delicious and bar food was lovely too. Reception and bar staff were so lovely.

Only negative was lack of toiletries in the room but they do have info leaflets to say lots of choice available on request (would just prefer to have it in the room).

I have stayed in the Sheraton a few times with my friends. We book every year in november for a shopping trip. We can't fault anything with the hotel. Great staff, comfortable rooms, and location.

Noisy room

Very good breakfast, clean room, friendly staff

Noise levels were not acceptable. We could hear very loud drilling behind the wall which lasted for a few hours. We complained at the reception but then the noise returned in the morning. Hard to imagine the hotel being fully booked this time of the year - rooms next to the refurbishments work should not have been given to guests as it was impossible to relax there.

Amazing stay

It has a nice central location, only a 7 minute walk to the train station. It’s right next to the shopping mall so makes it easy to stock on any forgotten items. It’s very quiet when you are the room. The rooms are very spacious and clean. Would definitely stay there again.

Food in the Bar and the Breakfast was really good, tasty and fresh. The Hotel was spotlessly clean. Great location.

The queue to check in. Maybe explore self a check-in system similar to the Gleneagle. Even two self check-in stations would make a huge difference and eleviate the pressure on staff.

Amazing, great rooms, the staff have a great sense of humour and also professional which we loved☺️

I liked that my room and my guests room were together as in there was two doors and 1 door divided into two rooms so we could go in and out of each others rooms as much as we pleased too, it was amazing😁

I didn’t like that I didn’t get to try the spa and other facilities, due to us only staying 1 night so we were rushed and didn’t get to enjoy the full experience, but it was our fault nothing to do with the hotel😊
