Lovely stay at the house, very pretty and welcoming

Loved the welcome from the hosts and the suggestions for a lovely dinner. We walked to town and felt very safe. The flowers were amazing when we were there.

you couldn't control it but a couple was arguing outside our window. I slept through it but the girls said it was awful. People need to be respectful

The location is good and the town center is at a walkable distance. The room was super clean and kettle with tea/coffee/ cookies was provided, along with bottles of water. Staff were very friendly and welcoming especially Dushanka. Jim and Nancy were excellent host and would recommend this property without a doubt. Very close to TUS Midlands as had visited to settle my daughter.

There is nothing that I didn't like. I was aware that there was no restaurant and breakfast facilities at the time of booking however, there are few eateries around for the same. Plenty of options at the town centre which is at a walkable distance.

Lovely property with spacious grounds. Excellent parking facilities with security cameras, a bonus for us motorcyclists. Rooms were very nice, clean and spacious. Friendly and accommodating host. Bus stop close by to take you directly into Athlone Town (15mins)

The host is a lovely gentleman who made me feel right at home. The en-suite room is excellent with everything I could need. I really enjoyed sitting in the shared living space when I was visiting with family.

The location, friendliness of owner, quietness of the location, and the breakfast were all exceptional and better than I had expected. The owner gave us good advice as to what to see and where to go, and even when departing and we told him where to we were heading, he recommended a restaurant to us which we visited and were super please with.

Amazing experience. Lovely owners who really care for their bnb and their guests. The best part: the breakfast. The continental breakfast was exceptionally good and the owners paid a lot of attention to the sustainability of the provided foods- local salmon, cheeses and even home made ham. Great fruit salad and great response to the requirement of glutenfree breakfast. This really made my day !

We stayed at the property for one night. We were very warmly welcomed by Jim and had a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

The property was in a lovely location with easy walking access into the town. It was very clean and well maintained.

I recommend Shelmalier House, especially because of Jim and Nancy's gracious hospitality.

Breakfast included special yogurt and locally cured ham. Great breads. Meeting Nancy at breakfast was special. As we were leaving, she came out to join Jim in wishing us well as we continued our journey across Ireland. Also enjoyed learning about the success of the family business, Woodfit Acoustics, now run by two Denby sons. The woodwork in the house is beautiful.
