Relaxed, Comfortable, Enjoyable and excellent value for money, Highly recommended for Preston stays

The friendly but efficient welcoming checkin, and the lovely staff throughout my stay- I was travelling alone and felt very cared for, and safe. My room was spacious with table and chairs big enough for dining so decide to eat dinner in the comfort of my room; the process of ordering through to the delivery to my room was seamless, my meal was delivered by the lovely lady who took my order at the bar ( I am so sorry but I, unusually for me, did not get her name ) promptly in the time she said, it was hot ( not always the case with room service ) and hugely enjoyable. The room was very comfortable, quiet, I had an excellent nights sleep so much so I was quite late to breakfast but even so the full compliment of rooms still available, and again I enjoyed it enormously. Friendly front desk staff on check out who seems genuinely interested in hearing about my stay and would I stay again, a definite yes! Parking was great, my whole stay exceeded my exceptions giving the cost. I booked via Bookings.com because I am genius status, I actually received a payment of just over £6 from them towards the cost to the hotel stay but even without that it would have been great value. Your hotel will defiantly be my go to hotel when staying in the Preston area.

perhaps wider choice of dinner menu, having said that my chicken caesar salad was just what I wanted that evening!

Enjoyable return, this is the 1st year no Christmas decorations very disappointing

We return to this hotel because of its location cleanliness and friendly staff. We come as a group of 4/5 women Christmas shopping. We would like Samantha who helped with the offer of a trolley for all our shopping making it a lot easier to get to our car and pack it up. She was fab.

We have visited this hotel many times. Unfortunately on the first night we had little sleep due to the rain on the windows and dripping water from guttering hitting the window sills (happened again on Saturday). On Saturday morning when we went for breakfast the dining room was very busy. There were no covers on the hot food and the cooked breakfast was cold, the fried eggs were dried up, no pastries. W line were very disappointed. I mentioned it to a member of staff who apologiesed. Sundays breakfast was a lot better as there were considerably less visitors covers on the got food. Although no pastries and very little fruit options the food was hot. No Christmas decorations!!

No shower curtain in wet-room bathroom (had not requested this type of bathroom); entire floor got wet. Not many veggie options at breakfast; in fact, not many options at all, as large group had been in early!

We requested for one double bed and other room twin bed. But on arrival staff mentioned they can’t make twin bed as we booked late. It was only 9 pm not midnight. I think it’s a business and as we’re paying they should make the room as described on website and requested otherwise mention before so we look for alternatives. However the bed was big enough to sleep very comfortably.

Will absolutely use for all business trips to Preston

Value for money. It’s a no frills hotel that gives you a clean bed, hot high pressure shower, Dove products (shower gel etc), good sleep, free parking and breakfast in a convenient location. Cannot fault it for business travel to Preston.

The only thing I could come up with was the coffee at breakfast wasn’t great, but they do offer Costa coffee at the bar at an extra charge if you want better quality.

Ideal place for a hotel but breakfast was very disappointing

The hotel is in an ideal place, check in staff were lovely and the room was lovely

The receptionist recommended going for breakfast after 9am due to there being 2 coach loads of people and it would be busy. We arrived at 9:20am and there wasn’t much hot food there. We asked if there was any sausages to be told no - they only buy enough sausages for the numbers they had and there was only vegetarian sausages left. This is very disappointing when we have paid for breakfast - I ended up having 1 slice of toast as I don’t like anything else that was there. Disappointed that we paid for something that we didn’t receive.

Lovely staff but some issues that were resolved

The staff are amazing we go every year for our anniversary and Rockprest. The staff remember us. They are very welcoming, accommodating and friendly and always on hand for anything needed

The breakfast was not good and I would not get it again. There were major issues with the breakfast on the 2nd day due to some issues with equipment, how busy it was and other stock issues. That morning was refunded which we appreciate but regardless of those issues the breakfast wasn't good on the other days and there were there were no issues. The breakfast is just not as good as it used to be. No Air conditioning is a problem especially during a very hot day/ night. We were grateful for a fan in the wardrobe. Being able to open the window even a little further and being able up open the net curtain for a breeze might have helped too. We have stayed at this hotel 10 years and we will continue to but this stay sadly wasn't as good as previous stays. Staff were all superb.
