The hotel was very centrally located, and the room was clean and comfortable. Overall, we had a pleasant stay.

The parking situation was disappointing. Although the hotel stated that parking was available, there were no spaces left when we arrived. We therefore had to find parking ourselves. Unfortunately, the breakfast was also disappointing. The selection was rather limited, and the overall quality and presentation felt more like a canteen than what we would expect from a hotel of this category.

Lovely central hotel, excellent staff, good food and facilities. We will be returning!

The hotel was ideally situated for our purposes i.e. visiting the Edinburgh Fringe Our room was spacious and quiet with easy access to the hotel facilities. All the staff were ectremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. We used the restaurant several times and the food and service were always very good

The bathromm had a glass door which was a problem if anyone visited the toilet overnight. THe bedroom would be flooded with light which would invariable wake up anyone else in the bedroom. There was a problem with the plumbing. We could only get hot water through the hand basin hot tap if we ran the both the tap to the sink and the hot water to the bath for a very long time. Apparently, the hotel boiler had had problems. The controls for the TV in the room were overly complicated and illogical.

We really liked the room and the location. The gym was a big plus, as it was big and well equipped. Windows isolated well and there was no noise.

We would have liked some water bottles in our rooms. We were told that water was available at the bar, but it was very expensive. I feel in a hotel it would be right to have at least 2 bottles of complimentary water, especially if you arrive in the evening and do not want to go out to the supermarket to buy some.
