House of Gods Royal Mile Edinburgh

The place is a bit of a maze and quite dark, but it's beautifully decorated and the staff is incredibly attentive and helpful. It was very comfy, and the cabin room wasn't as small as I was expecting which was nice. It's excellent for a short stay, but I don't think I could deal with the wet room bathroom for an extended time period.

Milk and warm cookies! Decadent experience

Amazing. So much fun. Did I get lost trying to get back to the lobby from the dark ass velvet hallways? Yes, but again, part of the fun. Did my room have a phone? No, but it had a button to call the butler, summon milk and cookies, and prosecco. Again, I found it very amusing. And you'd think a hotel with velvet walls would be a unsanitary...Nope. Room was clean as a whistle. I am definitely coming back to the Edinburgh location one day. I was already raving about it to friends while in the bar downstairs, which was also great. Very creative drinks. TLDR: if you're traveling as a couple or solo, stay here !! great place, great location, very unique.

My wife and I spent a wonderful anniversary weekend here! The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. I love the high end service without the stuffy up tight attitude you see at other luxury hotels. We highly recommend the “Treat Me Like I’m Famous” package which truly lives up to its name! A glass of prosecco immediately upon arrival with a full bottle waiting for you in the room, a tray of cookies and treats before bed, a lovely basket chock full of breakfast goodies in the morning, it was just the most fun! Thank you for helping us make this anniversary one we will never forget!
