Great place to stay as a base to explore Cardiff. Comfiest bed we’ve ever slept in when away from home.

I read some of the other reviews, think some unfair in my opinion, floors squeaky a little as said but so what, the place is a lovely old 18 th century place was so nice, showers awesome, wifi good, hosts were so dam helpful and location perfect for me, 15 mins walking to central Cardiff , the room was awesome I just loved it, shower awesome to, shared yes but no waiting for me the two nights I stayed there, very clean and wifi good to ! TV worked ok for me, id not hesitate to book here again easy !

The staff were friendly and sweet. The location wasn’t too bad.

It was very dusty everywhere (although I think the bed was clean - which was the main thing). The fan had a lot of dust on it so we couldn’t use it. The sides and floor were dusty, it just felt dirty generally. The shower room and toilet are in the same room and shared on one floor with other rooms (also not clean). If someone’s showering you have to wait until they are done. We had to knock because someone took over 30 minutes.

The staff were lovely and welcoming. We were very happy to have an ensuite shower and toilet.

Very small room, hardly any floor space for luggage. Tricky to get upstairs with big suitcases.

Nice place to stay.

We were happy with the room for the price we paid. The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean and tidy. The shared bathroom was clean and a nice hot shower. Plenty of street parking that is free. It took us 20 minutes to walk into the city center and to see the castle.

The only thing being and old place is the floorboards creaked when you walked on them and the door squeaked when you opened and closed it and so did everyone else's door. The internet was very slow at times, and you couldn't get on.

This B&B only has 1 bathroom and toilet. There are three rooms for six guests to share, which makes everyone uncomfortable and nervous. The website does not specify that the bathroom and toilet is shared. If it is clearly stated that the bathroom and toilet is shared I should not rent it.

Great place for a short stay

The house is clean and calm. You'll find everything in the Bedroom itself, microwave, coffee, toiletries, iron, hair dryer etc. The host is also very cooperative and responsive. I had small issue in the room and he immediately fixed it.

The location is not the best. The neighbourhood is a bit dirty and crowded.

Lovely staff, lots of facilities

Lots of facilities in the room such as iron, kettle, fridge, microwave, table and chair. A huge comphy bed and a wardrobe. Staff were really friendly when I arrived. Free street parking. A very fair price.

The location worked well for me as i had my car, but is not the close to restaurants and the town centre.

no good!

The receptionist-or the owner-if you needed something, you had to ring the bell and he came from the upper floor, where he lived. He was very helpful, which was the only positive thing about this accommodation. When I needed a refrigerator, he brought a small one that could fit just one 0.5 liter bottle of Coca Cola.

The room was tiny, no chair, no table, only a bedside table. The bathroom was dirty, there was a basket for towels, which was always full, no one emptied it. Also, when I needed to heat up food, I had to ring the receptionist, I couldn't use the kitchen myself. I have the impression that the owner lived in the house, because you could see something like a living room, where there was a terrible mess. It made a bad impression. It was also terribly cold there, the radiator didn't work. The street was very far from the center, but there was always a lot of noise outside in the evening. My window faced the street. The hotel also only has 4 free rooms. And there are also cats that run freely in the corridors. Allergy sufferers - beware! There was another lady staying there with the hotel owner who was constantly coughing. Something terrible at night, I woke up regularly to her coughing. The walls were like paper, you could hear every noise.

good stay in Cardiff

House is very central, 30 minutes walking to the harbored, 30 min walking to the Castle. It was very clean. Shared bathroom was spotless every time I used it. Noises are the common one if you have lived with your family, you can tell there are people there (open and closing doors) but is not disturbing at all. Shower was hot and with good pressure. There's plenty of parking on the street.

Easy on street parking. Bus stop outside for easy access to Cardiff. Ease and flexibility of access at night. Exceptionally Clean sheets and towels. Friendly host.

When l stayed here 10 yrs ago it was immaculate and breakfast was the best I'd ever had. Honestly. If I wasn't constantly sent emails asking me to 'Rate my stay' l would have prefered to have put it down to experience, as the host was a really nice guy and obviously overwhelmed, with the amount of visitors. The place is very tired now. In the room we stayed in the executive bed was falling apart, as were the blinds and the room was definitely in need of a good spring clean (in my opinion). And ...............No breakfast, so overall very disappointed.

Overall, a very pleasant stay, a great base to go out each day.

The location was perfect for us, as we like to walk and it’s about 15 minutes into the city centre. The room was clean, of an adaquate size, with a very convenient en-suite. The hosts couldn’t do enough for you and we’re very knowledgeable about the area. They were always contactable for any help you may need. Tea and coffee facilities were available and a very welcomed bottle of fresh water to drink in the room.

Sadly, the location of a shared washroom was next to our room. Not a massive problem but as I’m a light sleeper, any time it was used, in the night or early morning, I was awoken. Just unfortunate. Also, I think there may have been a boxed in boiler or main pipes in our room, so whenever another bathroom was used, the sound in our room of the pipes, seemed magnified. Also, the decor is very “tired” and in desperate need of refreshing. I completely appreciate these guys are still recovering from the devastation of covid and revamping decor is a pricey business, they do however, absolutely allow for this in their nightly rate. My humble suggestion would be to at least invest in some new pillows and bedding overall.

Great as a stopover.

Cheap considering that the city centre isn’t to far away. Free WiFi, hosts friendly and have enough information about hotel and local area on arrival.

Dated TV’s, room wasn’t particularly clean plenty of dust under bed, lights hanging in bathroom and boiler for hotel based in room 1. No breakfast anymore and while there technically is plenty of parking available there is no dedicated spaces for Ty Rosa so finding a space maybe a fair bit up or down the road.

Clean and cosy room and clean toilet. Friendly owners and staff. Good living room. Close from the city center. ADORABLE CATS, they are seldom seen. If you are lucky, you could see them.

The floor is a little squeaky, so a sensitive person can feel uncomfortable sleeping. It was bearable for me.

If u want a quiet holiday don't stay here

I liked the fact that the people was polite and friendly

The fact there was hooligans outside a couple of nights that chased us in from out side and wen we first arrived the fact there was loads of flys around to the point we had to go buy fly spray and air conditioner they give u a tv in ur room but the signal is crap and u can't really watch TV only 2 channels worked in the evenings it was nice until the people in the rooms next to us kept going in nd out at all hours of the early morning my son couldn't sleep
