We arrrived and I had requested a room away from the street which the staff were able to accommodate including a free upgrade of the room which gave us a bigger room. Room was clean and well designed layout, sufficient storage for the 3 nights we were there. Rooms were cleaned each day.

From reading about the hotel at the time of booking, I was under the impression it had a restaurant and bar. Not sure if I was tired or something reading the descriptions, but the "restaurant" of the hotel was only used for breakfast, and the bar was really the lounge at the reception of the hotell. That was a bit disappointing to me as I was planning on using the hotel restaurant / bar, at least to some degree. Obviously I went bust on that one.

Staff were fantastic as soon as we got there, polite and friendly, room spotless and comfy, then for the extra money for breakfast well worth it, selections of cerials, self service cooked items, cold meats, way too much to choose from. Cant recomend enough will be staying again

The hotel is in a prime location, its about 150 metres away from the train station, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the hotel as comfortable beds & a good choice of food for breakfast ,the hotel is just a short walk from the centre of Cardiff, which as a good range of shops and bars

The bed was lovely and the room was a decent size. The air conditioner was greatly appreciated in the hot weather. However, there was not enough space to put our clothes, so we were living out of our suitcases. There was no where to hang the towels up and not enough shelving in the bathroom to leave our toothbrushes out. There were also noises from pipework or the air conditioner that were quite loud at times. Having said that we really enjoyed our stay in Cardiff.

I chose the hotel for its proximity to the station as I was travelling each day by train very early in the morning. It is the closest hotel and so it was perfect for location. The friendly welcome was let down by the dreaded words "you room is on the lower ground floor" I was not very happy with this and for me, it was a real let down for my stay. Everything worked well and the room was comfortable, but I just don't like basement rooms.

When the reviews state it was exceptional, i was expecting the best. Unfortunately, for me, it was very middle ofvtge road. It was ok. The location is right next door to the station. Receptionist was lovely, who said she upgraded me, from what im bot sure. Sudbt seem much of an upgrade. Very basic, damp smell in the bathroom.

This hotel is perfect for a visit to Cardiff. It’s very central and next to the train and bus stations. Check in very easy and the staff were welcoming. Room is adequate for a city break..has everything you need. The rooms were quiet which meant a lovely nights sleep. Would recommend this hotel.

Stayed here a couple of times as location great. Car parking available at the train station with a few minutes walk. Rooms are very small and compact but compared to a lot of hotels in Cardiff if you can put up with that it is good value for money
