I would visit again - lovely place and people!

The room was lovely and spacious, in a nice and reasonably quiet area. The owners were very friendly and helpful! Good cafe for breakfast was close by. Although the following experience itself was unpleasant - a very smelly shower curtain - it became evident only after it got wet so the owners couldn't have realised it whilst it was dry, before the shower was actually used. They changed the shower curtain, cleaned it all up and also offered a breakfast on them. So all in all, given how well and quickly they solved the issue, I have still written it under the positives.

I hadn't realised when I booked that the bathroom/toilet is open (without a door) - it wasn't an issue as I was on my own but I would appreciate privacy if I was sharing a room. I didn't like the smelly shower curtain but as discussed above, the solution to the problem was quick and good!

The location, a room downstairs with a big table, a coffee machine with free coffee. It was very central and very cozy.

The accommodation suited us nicely, and is perfectly located for a pleasant walk into the town.

We enjoyed the interesting style of furnishings and decor in our small room which had a lovely clean en-suite and a comfortable bed. The breakfast lounge offers facilities for making hot drinks and there is a well stocked mini bar with very reasonable prices. We are grateful to Marcel the owner for making himself available to assist us with a problem of our own doing, and being friendly and helpful.

It is a sad fact that in this modern age, that there is an increasing absence of personal staff present to greet you and guests are expected to let themselves in and find their way around. When we had a problem we didn’t know where to turn as there was no one at the property, after trying several different phone numbers and emails, thankfully the owner answered us after 20 mins and willingly came to our assistance, but this was the only time we saw him during our stay.

I like the size of the apartment, friendly staff and it was close to my University building MSM. All what you need in the kitchen stuff is there. Wifi is good and fast. The most interesting part is the terrace.

The apartment style is old fashioned. The heater in the bedroom was not working properly. But the rest of the apartment was ok. The stairs are too small.

Perfect host in a wonderful hotel in a magical town.

The owners were so helpful and kind. They are so enthusiastic and go to great lengths to ensure everyone is happy. We only had the continental breakfast once in our 3 days and it was excellent and fresh. It hit -6 oC one evening as we were walking back, but our room was lovely, warm and cosy. The building has great character and a welcoming aura around the place. The dining room was full of visitors from around Europe and the atmosphere was wonderful. The walk to the main areas and river was about 10 to 15 minutes away and I'd love to stay here again in the summer as it was freezing walking around. I would definitely recommend staying here for your trip to Maastricht. We also had a drive to Aachen in Germany during our stay and that town was thriving and full of magnificent architecture. Well worth a trip if you are staying a few days.

Parking was 6.50 Euros outside and we were very lucky as there was only 1 space available. The spiral steps were steep, but not that much of a problem.

everything! Especially that we, as digital nomads, were able to work in the common room the whole day with good wifi. also there is free coffee and tea. the second day the hosts made us lovely lunch for a very good price. we loved to stay there.

The breakfasts were gorgeous, the rooms were "people's rooms" instead of hilton anonymous, and the location - right between city centre and the "mountains" - was excellent!

Breakfast was really excellent, a bit different every day, and they were able to let us eat in the dining room because there was no room in our room. They also had lots of delivery food recommendations and clearly are on good terms with other nearby businesses. It's the other side of the center from the train station, which is slightly inconvenient, but still very nice.
