Lovely stay in the old town

We had the attic room with the views of the old town from above which we loved! There was also a bathtub, very affordable water and snacks, recommendations for breakfast places, welcoming staff and, of course, beautiful location.

Stay in Maastricht

The beds were comfortable and the provisions in the room were fine. Good communication with the host. Central location was very good.

I did convey all of this to the host however we chose to leave one night early because of our concerns about fire safety with the room we booked. We booked the top room in the house and I did not feel comfortable being on that level in the event of an emergency evacuation. It is an old conserved house in the centre of Maastricht so there isn't much more that they can do about how it is designed however I had to question why that room is marketed the way it is. Or even offered as a guest room. I was honest with the host about this and he accepted our concerns but we cut our stay by one night paying full price but with free parking. If you are considering Galerie Hotel Dis be sure to check all details of the room you are booking and consider if you can stay there comfortably.

Concert prices!

Situated 5-10 mins walk from the Frijthof and close enough to all the city sites to accomplish in a couple of days’ walking. Bed very comfortable.

The stairs were challenging! It is in a 1723 constructed building so no scope to install a lift. Wouldn’t recommend for anyone with limited physical capabilities. Quite expensive but our stay was for an André Rieu concert when every hotel will be charging whatever they can get away with......

Very comfortable and in the old town, convenient location. Had a well stocked and reasonably priced mini bar, something very much appreciated. Sunny room with lots of windows.

Only difficulty is no elevator, but it’s an old building so nowhere to put one.

Lovely stay in Maastricht

We had a very nice stay. Very welcoming, nice comfortable big room (top floor for 3), nice views, nice coffee and tea, table with chairs. We could leave our luggage before check in and after check out: very helpful!

Quiet location in a traditional building

Nice hotel in a quiet location. Close to the city center and the restaurants. Spacious room. Room is equipped with a fridge/minibar. The minibar was the most reasonably priced I've ever seen. Unfortunately we didn't have time to use it. :-)

Hotel is not serving breakfast anymore. But there are locations for breakfast close by.

Pleasant

You pay for the location, which is great, in the Jekerkwartier, the historical part of the city, 5 min walk from main squares, lovely alleys, restaurants and shops. Room was spacious and quiet. It's a good choice if you just need a place to sleep and nothing else.

Basic interior, curtains didn't close properly, mold on the bathroom wall. The pictures on Booking.com are not representative. It is an old city house with a number of rooms, no breakfast/lounge/bar/ hotel facilities available. The hotel parking is 8 min walk and it is a challenge to get to the entrance by car (small one direction alleys) to drop off luggage. Price was therefor pretty steep.

Nice big room for 3p, comfy beds, perfect location, calm, but close to everything, little snacks as breakfast.

There is no elevator. 5th floor is quiet high with suitcases.

Beautiful hotel, located in a historic building which contributes to its charme, very close to the city centre but in a quiet area; spacious and clean room with view over the city (family room top floor); friendly and attentive host.

Not a problem for us, but it could be for other guests: The hotel has no lift and the upper floor rooms are reached via wooden, quite steep and creaking stairs.
