Lodge with stunning views

The location is fabulous feels very remote but is actually only a few minutes drive to caernarfon. Beddgelert is a 20 minute drive in the other direction and is a must visit little village. The Lodge is not luxurious but really comfy and cosy with amazing views of the surrounding countryside.

Only a couple of small gripes. The TV would only play channel 5 channels 🤣 And the bathroom door was a pain to shut... very stiff ( as I said only minor stuff)

Beautiful surroundings in a quiet secluded spot.

In a beautiful area with amazing surroundings and ample parking. Everything you need for a nice trip away in Snowdonia.

Overall it was great, the only improvement needed is some maintenance with the bathroom shower which was leaking at the bottom and wouldn't get very hot (maybe doe to the leak). The shower plug hole needed to be unblocked and the bathroom door didn't close properly.

Lovely location and the cottage had everything we needed for a 2 night stay.

The water pressure in the shower was awful and the water temperature control was stuck so it was luke warm.

A Perfect Family Getaway

Were absolutely delighted with everything. The check-in was smooth and the staff were very friendly. There’s a small shop at the reception where you can grab breakfast items, which is very convenient if you need something quickly without heading into the village. The children absolutely loved the playground and the animals, especially having the chance to feed the donkey. The views were simply stunning – we couldn’t get enough of them!

Another wonderful stay

Our 3rd visit to this place and hopefully not the last one! Delicious ice-cream at the campsite shop and the tastiest spring water from the tap. Play area is a very lively and happy place for kids, and the whole campsite has a friendly vibe. Lovely donkeys and llamas (also sheep, horses, bats, chickens, buzzards, spiders, etc.) Meditative views, rain or shine, and stargazing on a clear night.

Amazing views in a peaceful location.

Very peaceful well kept site, with awesome views of the mountains. Short walk to the pub and the Welsh highland railway station. Feels like you’re in the middle of nowhere, but is actually easy to access all amenities.Nice to have the lamas and donkeys next door too.

An idyllic location and perfect accommodation.

Everything was perfect, the accommodation was well appointed, well maintained and perfectly clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location was idyllic and ideal for our stay in the area. The donkeys provided additional amusement and entertainment. Thanks to everyone and we will be staying again.

Great place to stay for exploring Snowdon and the area. Lynn was particularly helpful in lending us her own pot of jam as we just had one of those urges for Jam on Toast!! Many thanks for a great stay.....we will be back!!

It’s a camping, bring your own stuff

Really can not recommend here enough.

Everything was just how u would want it to be. We enjoyed it so much we've booked again for next year. Also we didn't want to leave.

The kids were a little disappointed there was no longer a games room. But was not a problem. Please remember to take your own bedding and towels. Towels are not available to hire and bedding is a little bit expensive to hire. Otherwise we loved the place.

We liked this lodge so much that didn't want to go back home

Tastes differ, but we liked everything, we could have lived there our whole life! The views were fantastic and meditative, we enjoyed the sunset colours of the hills while chilling out at the decking table after our walks in Snowdonia. The location was perfect, you should be extra careful on the tiny road, but it never was a problem for us. The private car place was a paradise as well! The atmosphere at the campsite was very friendly, welcoming and home-like (especially when you put your washing to dry in the sun on the community dryer haha). We loved to see the kids of different age playing together at the playground - true kids enjoying their summer freedom outdoors, they looked so happy! Our just 3-year-old son fell in love with the sandpit and could have stayed in it all day long (but actually climbed up Snowdon via Ranger!) We enjoyed the farm features like feeding the donkeys and making our breakfasts with the freshest farm eggs. We were pleased to find a hand wash, dish washing gel, bin bags, kitchen cloths in the house as we brought ours thinking there would be nothing of these. There was everything to live comfortable not just for a few days, but the whole life. You do need to bring your bedding covers and towels, but thinking big - it saves the campsite spring water! Thank you for this cosy, beautiful and lively place, we hope to return in the future, all the best to your team!

Close to Snowdon. Kids were able to feed animals. Beds are comfortable.

Noisy neighbours, making barbecue until 11pm. The floor was not clean when we arrived. Shower is odd, the water was either too hot or too cold. The bed linen is not included. Luckily we checked the previous reviews and brought our onw sheets and everything.

Brilliant week in the peaceful countryside

What a great little find. Perfect for a quiet retreat in the countryside. Very peaceful. The site had a few statics and further in the distance there was motorhomes and pods, overall it was a very spacious site. The keys were in the door as soon as we arrived and we didn’t have contact with anyone which was great. The pictures of the cabin don’t do it justice at all - it’s a lot more spacious than the pictures suggest. Great little kitchen and dining area - sofa comfy. Decking was spacious - Great for a morning coffee or breakfast overlooking the hills. We didn’t use the bunk bed room only the double bed which was very comfy. The bathroom was standard - the shower was a little small but nothing that we couldn’t deal with. Dedicated parking space too. Neighbouring farm very welcoming. Lots of walks available around the site, we mainly drove to other parts of Snowdonia, a good location and not far from Caernarfon. A lovely little week, we’ll definitely be returning.

The kids loved it!

The cabin was actually very spacious and had everything we needed. It was very clean and well presented. The surrounding area is stunning and the site itself was lovely. The youngest child loved the fact there was a play area and donkeys! We also particularly liked the fact that it had a BBQ area and lively decking and seating to enjoy the views from. Couldn't fault it at all!

Beautiful surrounding landscapes and very close to Llanberis (Snowdon) and Caernarfon. Anglesey is also within easy reach: the chalet is very well equipped and furnished and felt surprisingly spacious. Great atmosphere and very family-friendly.
