Nice weekend stay

- size of the room - breakfast was amazing - free parking - very clean - the pool

- no separate lounge room at the spa - other guests were walking around the spa with street shoes. No staff there - the light in the toilet took forever to turn off. At night even with the door closed it was a little annoying - when we rented the bath robes at check-in they could have mentioned that there were no slippers included. Usually spa equipment comes in a set. So we had to go down there again and get the slippers. - No towels at the spa. You had to take them from your room. - No body lotion in the room

A consistently high-quality hotel with excellent rooms and comfort.

I have stayed at the Van der Valk Hotel Venlo several times now, and it has consistently been excellent. The hotel is high quality throughout, with spacious, clean, and well-maintained rooms. The bed is large and very comfortable, making it easy to get a good night’s sleep, and there are plenty of amenities available. Breakfast has always been very good, with a wide selection and high-quality options. The only minor downside for me personally is the gym. I prefer to use a simple treadmill, and unfortunately there isn’t one available. Aside from that, it’s a hotel I would happily continue to stay in.

I didn’t particularly like the room I was allocated on this stay, as it was a wheelchair-accessible room. I have stayed in other room types at the hotel previously, so this was a change from what I expected. That said, the room itself was still very large, clean, and comfortable, and there were no real issues with it. I simply didn’t require an accessible room on this occasion.

Fantastic hotels, amazing staff and the hospitality never disappoints.

We booked an accessible room as my husband is in a wheelchair. The room was huge, bathroom well equipped and the staff could not do enough to make our stay a great one. We had dinner twice in the restaurant and the quality of food was excellent and the breakfasts did not disappoint. Whenever we travel through Belgium and Holland we always chose to stay at the Van der Valk hotels. Then do not disappoint.

i liked the ample parking of the hotel, and how easy and organized was everything. Also the ambiance inside it was so nice, so relaxing in general and the location was superb.

The curtains of my room (411) were not black out. Too much light coming into room from all corners.

A wonderful oasis of calm just off the motorway.

We had travelled from Ireland to Dunkirk on a ferry that arrived at 0100hrs. After driving to Venlo , we arrived hours ahead of normal check- in time. A very kind man at reception facilitated an early check- in. We enjoyed an excellent Sunday breakfast before catching some sleep. A session in the swimming pool helped to refresh us.

expensive breakfast for the normal eu prices some stuff are missing in the room i.e. sleepers when you ask some thing reception remind you 3 times that this costs you and you need to come down to the reception and pay!!! ( bit cheap reaction in this class)
