Lovely place to stay near Cardiff

It was fabulous! Top grade furnishings and lovely clean bed & towels. Everything was laid out to make a perfect impression on entering the suite. I would love to know how you got the shower glass so spotlessly clean. The outside was in excellent repair and the gardens were lovely. Parking outside the door. Perfect! Would definitely recommend and visit again.

Maybe a small tube of toothpaste and deodorant would be good.

the fact that nowhere did it state that we were not allowed to use hotel facilities. we felt isolated and vulnerable as we were in a cottage/room away from the hotel (mother and daughter) as there was no one at the hotel in case we needed help. This was an Airbnb, not a hotel. It cost £250.00 … far too expensive. Lewis was very helpful in offering us drinks at the bar (.only ones there) and a complimentary bottle of wine.

Disappointing

Hot tub didnt work,waiting for it to be fixed all day.staff kept letting their self in ,opened our door when we could of been naked.felt like had no privacy.ALSO TELE WOULDNT WORK ALL EVENING.

Liked the beds so comfy,robes slippers great idea,sandwiches lovely,loved the passteries that they had on the breakfast menu.liked the pod coffee machine.

Very dissapointing.

The bed was very comfortable and the room was decorated to give a sense of luxury.

The room was advertised as a rose cottage but was actually a modern terrace of rooms that is an annex to the main Manor. Though it was an early October day the room was cold when we arrived and it took 4 hours for the little electric radiator to heat the room. The bathroom was even colder as the heating was from a electriclly heated towel rail that was barely adequate and the tiled floor was very cold to walk on with bare feet. Hate to think what its like in Winter. The bed and interior decoration was lovely but the cold does alter your mood to the place. The breakfast is prompt at 9.30 and is served at the Manor. I have no idea what the situation is if you had to leave earlier. We went up to the Manor promptly at 9.30 only to be told the breakfast was to be in our room, because they were preparing for lunch. We were so looking forward to having Breakfast in the granduer of the Manor. Instead we had it in our room with nowhere to properly eat it as there is no table and chairs and we were dressed so could not have it in bed. Furthermore we had no choice to what we wanted to eat. We were given a selection of patisseries and bacon butties and a bowl of cornflakes. All very nice though except the cornflakes. Drinks were were low grade instant coffee & PG tips made by ourselves from the kettle in the room, very disappointing. The Manor clearly caters for wedding receptions for which it probably does well. But, we were out of season guests and they were letting out rooms at a discount during their quite period and were not providing the same level of service.

Simply amazing from start to finish, from the friendly staff to the beautiful surroundings.

We didn’t book breakfast but wished we had. The location is beautiful the manor is very regal. I felt like royalty. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating they looked for a place for us to eat in town, when I mentioned my booking had fallen though. Would definitely recommend it to friends and family and hope to visit again soon.

There really was nothing to dislike even the rain didn’t spoil the wonderful location.

Everything was amazing! Staff were very welcoming, polite and professional. Breakfast was absolutely amazing. The way it was presented was next level!! Loved the basket! Bedroom and bathroom were clean and modern.

Very comfortable room, good breakfast, peaceful location very close to Cardiff

I stayed here for one night to break up a long journey home with a day at the Cardiff Christmas Market. As I arrived late, check-in was via a key code, with parking right outside my room, which was quick and easy and very welcome after a long drive. There was a text from Mary from the hotel half an hour after I arrived to check that everything was ok. The room was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and very peaceful. Breakfast was a 1 minute walk from the room (the grounds and the manor itself are beautiful) and was lovely - cooked to order, plus cereal, juice, toast and fresh fruit. It was then just a short drive to Cardiff city centre.
