Great stay just outside of Cardiff. Near the M4 do easy access for day trips. Around 25mins to Cardiff central.
Try the local Pubs for meals as recommended, but add to the list - The Travellers Rest - a gastro Pub that is absolutely fantastic for atmosphere and the meals. Worth the 20 min drive!!!
Room Door locking - remember to lift up the handle up to Lock. New to us!
It is not in Cardiff - but that is why it is so good

the room was nice.
the fact that nowhere did it state that we were not allowed to use hotel facilities. we felt isolated and vulnerable as we were in a cottage/room away from the hotel (mother and daughter) as there was no one at the hotel in case we needed help. This was an Airbnb, not a hotel. It cost £250.00 … far too expensive.
Lewis was very helpful in offering us drinks at the bar (.only ones there) and a complimentary bottle of wine.
