Lovely Stay in Cardiff

Well decorated & modern and had all that we needed. Communication excellent.

Coffe/sugar bowls are a nice touch but consider sachets to improve presentation.

Could be perfect with a proper deep clean

Location is excellent , parking available locally for free. Beautifully equipped home with everything we needed for our stay.

The properly want particularly clean. Coffee cups and plates were dirty and needed to be re washed before being used and the overall apartment was dusty and the floor was dirty.

Disappointed

The living room/ kitchen area was lovely.

The cleanliness on arrival was honestly disappointing. There was dust on the surfaces, there was a used wet coffee pod in the coffee machine, it hadn’t been cleaned since the previous guests, the whole place could have done with a really good wipe down and thorough clean. There was also no tea towel to wipe down surfaces we had to buy some. The place has huge potential, if the cleanliness was better. We also had no heating or hot water on arrival and couldn’t have a shower until the next day, with two small kids staying our first night was extremely cold, and not relaxing. We also received a noise complaint from the hosts, which was upsetting. The two children were playing from 5-7pm before bed and we were asked to keep the noise down, honestly why allow children to stay when we couldn’t relax after this.

Quiet apartment in a nice area.

Pleasant apartment in a quiet location, an easy walk into Cardiff centre.

Great for a couple, or for 3 people but not big enough for 5. One of the double bed rooms is very small with the one side of the bed pushed up hard against a wall, so nowhere to put glasses, book etc. We couldn't find any guides for the kitchen equipment and struggled to get the hob to work, plus there was an isolator switch, situated high up in a cupboard that we had to hunt for, to get the microwave to work. There were dirty towels (unwashed)in the washing machine on arrival, which wasn't very nice and we were charged £25 for 2 nights for the use of a travel cot, against the published rate of £10 per night - seems unnecessarily greedy charging for a cot in first place, to be honest but it saved filling the car with ours. However, it is fundamentally a pleasant apartment in a nice, safe location, for a reasonable price.

Perfect stay, fabulous apartment, everything you need, highly recommend!

The property was just perfect for what we wanted! Pontcanna is a great area to stay when visiting Cardiff City Centre, a short stroll across Bute park to the castle and access to the City’s many bars, restaurants and shops! Or on the way back a £4.66 uber ride! Pontcanna has some great bars and restaurants too as well as coop nearby to grab any essentials! The property was warm, comfortable and had everything we needed in a prime location! It was a half term visit to see our son who is at Uni so perfect as he had lived just around the corner the previous year! The communication from the property was thorough and excellent with everything we needed! Clear and concise! We visited several places while staying and also highly recommend Gaucho restaurant, not cheap but definitely worth it and before you think I’m not a steak a lover I had the vegan option (only because I’m fussy not a vegan!) and it was superb and my boys all loved their steaks! Soooo tasty and fab setting with great service!

The only thing I would add if you book it states parking not available however this isn’t quite true as there is limited street parking which during our visit was plentiful! So nothing we didn’t like! The parking on Ryder St is permit only but just around the corner is a free for all and there are often spaces available if you struggle first time drive around the block! We have never had a problem and it’s free!

Perfectly located within walking distance to Cardiff city centre, this place is clean, spacious, and has solid, creak-free floors. Situated on the 1st floor, it feels welcoming—like coming home. The host was very responsive, making the stay even smoother. Highly recommended—don’t think twice!

Both attractive and comfortable accommodation. Everything worked well and we had everything we needed. Great hosts too! We loved staying in Pontcanna.

Everything was perfect for our stay. Probably a separate toilet or shower room would have been ideal given there were four of us, but it wasn’t really an issue and the bathroom was very comfortable nevertheless.

We were only here one night and it was okay. Few small things let it down but otherwise a good flat with good location

Spacious, well lit, mostly clean, good wifi, modern flat

No blinds on the kids’ bedroom, meaning our daughter was awake at 7:30 am despite our best efforts to block the light. No way to contact the owners. Recycling bin hasn’t been emptied for god knows how long

Lovely flat in the perfect location with exceptionally helpful hosts

Excellent location, really clean and nicely decorated flat with all the facilities we needed. The hosts were exceptionally quick at responding to queries and were able to help us with everything we asked about.

Beautifully decorated apartment in a cool, relaxing neighbourhood.

The apartment is very comfortable with all the needed amenities and it quickly felt like home. The neighbourhood is charming and quiet within walking distance to some shops and restaurants (We loved the Smoke House and Poca). It is also nice and easy to walk to the city centre through the park. Would happily stay again and recommend it to others.

Ideaal gelegen bovenwoning voor een bezoek aan Cardiff

Deze bovenwoning ligt in een rustige straat op loopafstand van het centrum van Cardiff, vlakbij het kasteel en het park. Echt een super locatie! De straat en het huis zien er van buiten prachtig uit. Het huis is bovendien mooi ingericht. Ook lukte het steeds prima om een parkeerplekje op loopafstand te vinden.

Het zegt denk ik genoeg dat ik binnen 5 minuten na binnenkomst aan het stofzuigen en het schoonmaken was. Hondenharen op de bank, vieze keukenkastjes en etensresten in de besteklade. Ook de douchebak was echt heel smerig. Bovendien was ons bij het boeken niet duidelijk dat het om een bovenwoning ging en niet om een regulier huis. Daarnaast zijn we het niet gewend dat we na het boeken bij Booking.com nog een heel administratief traject door moesten bij de eigenaren zelf.

Es war so schön eingerichtet! Der Vermieter war sehr nett. Wir haben zwar nur telefoniert, aber er war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Das Bett ist unglaublich gemütlich.
