Apart from a few things overall a comfortable stay

Beautiful surroundings. Lovely sauna and jacuzzi bath

Only one working toilet until Thursday afternoon. Became tricky when people using the jacuzzi bath. Heating water was alittle unpredictable. The shower wasn’t very powerful. The cooker hob was slow. On occasions the electric tripped. More info for heating the water would have been good.

It was on a lovely peaceful site.

Electric kept tripping if cooker had been on longer than 10 mins. Bits were coming through the water pipes and water stopped one morning.Needed attention to detail, better cleaning needed, think it was cleaner when we left it than we found it.

Like lodge. Clean nice. Good for the price. Big lots of space. Close to city centre and other shops or attractions.

Didn't have hot tub like other lodges For that big lodge shame didt have washing machine to wash clothes for longer stay. And didn't have private hot tub. Even the small lodge has hot tub outside. Don't have free WiFi Bad network connection for 3 or O2 need to find corners to cach Internet..

Not as advertised

The location and style of the cabin

The beds were uncomfortable, there was no hot tub as advertised. The whirlpool bath when turned on would put black bits of mould in your bath, the decking outside is very tired and parts damaged to the point one of the boards is either lifting or falling through. Tried to contact the lodge before we went and only got an automated response trying to direct me to there website. The cooker was dirty, the steps going into the lodge had seen better days, the tiles in the sauna room need attention aswell as the bench outside. Overall not what was expected

Great Lodge

Very clean, large, spacious lodge + really comfy beds. We'll stocked with hand wash, washing up liquid, tea towels bedding etc + welcome gifts . Lovely walk behind lodge for dogs, with a pond. Great area for picnic (as its the only area to get the sun on this site). Huge decking area. Lovely sitting outside listening to the birds. Peaceful well kept, quiet site. Easy to visit coast at Pendine sands etc.

Had slight prob parking van between tree stump and tree with rocks! Would have liked wi fi. Would prefer laminate floor, cos of potential wet weather with dog.

lovely stay, great peaceful location, would stay again.

we enjoyed a lovely Monday to Friday break at Acorn Lodge. everything was as described in the description. the location was lovely and peaceful, the weather was very hot so the cabin being Amongst the trees was great as it stayed lovey and cool/shaded. the kitchen is fully equipped with everything and more than you need, the bedrooms were clean and comfortable. the sauna and jacuzzi were a lovely treat. internet is very limited, but that only added to the enjoyment of the break, instead of our children (15,12,12) having heads in phones all time they spent time talking, laughing and having fun with each-other & us adults. it is disheartening to see other reviews knocking down this property for dated decor… it is as it is in the pictures, it may not be to everyone’s personal taste and that is because everyone is individual, but when having a break, I wish people would embrace differences more not give poor ratings. also the low reviews on slippy decking… it is a woodland lodge, with clear pictures of decking, the owners have not made this decking slippy, or do not have any control over it, it is just one of those unfortunate things with decking, it does not warrant a low rating.

didn’t stay to unsafe and dirty

the area

it was filthy dirty, the decking was very unsafe, high up and the slats were broken, for children or animals this could be fatal, health and safety would never pass this property,the owner stated there was a problem which he had stated the same 12 months ago, how dare he even think about rent out this property, dirty beds an absolute disgrace of a holiday home, could see through the windows the seating was ripped, coffee table filthy, I can do not describe this place as an hovel absolutely disgusting!!!! wants knocking down

Passable

It was a brilliant location and very good place to go and relack.

Broken chairs to sit on. Found small tablets left down the side of the chair when one of my grandsons toy went down the side. If you look under the cushions it is very clear that they don't get cleaned. The main bedroom has a door onto the balcony but cannot open as it's looked and has no key. The balcony it's self has a very bad rail running round it which is dangerous. Has the potential to be a realy nice place but needs a good clean and some money spent to update it. Even the outside needs a good tidy up.
