Peaceful and comfortable cottage with lots of coastal walks and beaches within a short drive

We loved the off-the-beaten-track location about half a mile from the village, so peaceful - and yet within 15 mins or so drive you can be at a lovely local pub or walking by the sea. Our hosts Pam and Karl were very friendly and kindly left milk in the fridge, tea bags, Welsh Cakes and a bottle of wine for our arrival and gave us a jar of local honey at the end of our stay. The cottage was very comfortable and everything worked fine. The weather had gone a bit cooler during the week when we were staying, so the cottage felt a bit cool one evening, but it wasn't a problem to have the heating turned up a bit and it came on a bit earlier too, which was perfect after a bracing walk along the coast. We would have loved to have stayed longer and would definitely go again.

What a lovely holiday home

Recently stayed at the Hagguard and had an amazing experience. We were greeted by Pam and her husband who own the property and they made sure we had everything we needed. They’re so friendly and was nice to chat to them. The property itself is lovely, immaculate inside and out. Has everything you need. Nice touch leaving a treat of Welsh cakes and a pint of milk. The rooms are really nice and good to have the two bathrooms. Enjoyed sitting outside in the garden with lovely views, it’s so quiet and peaceful. You don’t hear the sheep in the field next to the house at all in the morning. It’s a great location and a short drive to the nearby towns. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely go back soon!

The road leading to the property could do with a touch of tlc but doesn’t effect it too much.

Our stay at The Hagguard was excellent we were made to feel very welcome.

The property is in a very quiet location on a small holding. We were met by the owner on arrival who was very pleasant, friendly and professional. The property is outstanding, very modern and has everything that you need.

There was nothing that we didn't like about our stay at The Hagguard. The only thing is that if you have a low car the farm drive may be a problem in a few places if wet.
