Property and surroundings were perfect for a get away and spending valuable family time together. The grounds for walking and exploring are amazing. The remote location and being off grid is perfect for a relaxing tranquil time away.
The only slight issue was hot water, but after noticing the boost button on the control unit cured the issue.

Perfect to get away from everything - remote, with beautiful gardens & surrounding countryside.
Fabulous wood-burning stove :o)
A quick, easy drive into Newport Pembrokeshire & the great Golden Lion pub :o)

Loved the area. The cottage was lovely and clean and had so much character.
There wasn't any wifi which wasn't ideal because none of us staying had phone signal. Being without signal and wifi was quite enjoyable - a spontaneous digital detox if you wish!

The location is perfect for us as I have family in the area
Close to Newport beach and The Parrog
the grounds are very interesting and exceptionally well stocked with an amazing collection of plants and fruit trees
The beds upstairs are not comfortable. this was not a problem for me as i slept in the double room downstairs but other family members found the single beds lumpy and did not stay more than one night
Some issues with hot water - there wasn't any - there is a hot shower
Squirrels in the roof

The location was perfect and Newport was a brilliant little village with good pubs, shops and a beautiful beach. Friendly owner.
Some of the facilities were a bit basic. Maybe it was because we were there early in the year but there were a few repairs that needed doing. We could have done with thicker duvets and blankets as it was cold. Then again it was February and once the wood burner had been on a few hours it was quite cosy.

The locatioon was perfect for us as my daughter lives 2 miles away
The garden and the immediate area around the cottages is very well laid out and the array of plants in the grounds is exceptional
Our dog was welcome and the cottage has a stone floor - also perfect for the dog.
The kitchen is very well appointed and the cottage was warm. We had sunshine for the whole week but this cottage would halso be very comfortable in wet or chilly weather
There is no WiFi except in the garden and the signal very variable which is both a blessing and a drawback
Generally this was not a problem but made it sometimes tricky to confirm arrangements with family locally
A washing machine would have been a real bonus as we had three children with us
The positioning of the spiral staircase presents a hazard to anyone of moderate height as it stands more or less in the doorway to the living room. Fortunately we are all quite short
The upstairs bedrooms were very warm at night - could also be cold in the winter being in the roof
