Ribeira Ap Rio Douro - Heart of Porto 8 Guests

We spent three nights here and had a lovely stay. Even though you need to go up three flights of stairs every time, we did not mind. Porto is built on hills anyway, so a few stairs at the accommodation were perfectly fine for us. The location is right in the old town, with one of the best restaurants just across the street (Ribs, I think it was called). The beef and fries were amazing and the prices were very reasonable. The apartment suited us well as four girlfriends visiting Porto. Communication with the owner was good. We told her there was no soap in the bathroom, and she immediately came and left a bag with supplies at the door without entering the apartment. There was always hot water and the shower had good water pressure.

There are no mosquito nets on the windows and, because it was already quite hot in June when we visited, we slept with the windows open (we did not notice any AC). Unfortunately, this also invited the mosquitoes in for a feast on us :)) Additionally, there is a restaurant on the ground floor of the building, and the ventilation pipe from the restaurant is right in front of the windows of the two (out of three) upstairs bedrooms (the apartment has an internal staircase leading to another floor just below the roof and another bedroom downstairs). Because of this, we could only keep the windows open after the restaurant closed (well after 12 pm) During opening hours, the ventilation system was quite noisy, and cooking smells from the kitchen were coming through the windows. Some of us had earplugs but the noise was too loud for otherwise very good earplugs to work with the window open.

Faltaría Espejos en las habitaciones ya que solo hay dos baños y se pueden alojar hasta 8 personas

Unfortunately it was a bit hard to sleep due to loud sounds from the street at night

La localisation, le logement est spacieux et bien équipé, avec lave linge ! Vraiment impeccable, je recommande !!!
