About this apartment rental

Apartment 'Domblick' is situated at the foot of the Mönchsberg, only a few minutes from the banks of the river Salzach. It offers picture book views towards the Old Town with dome, palace and fortress. It is a third floor apartment in a renovated 16th century townhouse (with lift) in one of the oldest parts of the city. Next to it is the old Parish Church of Muelln and the Augustiner monastery turned brewery with its unique historical beer hall and the best beergarden in town.

1184 sq ft. Apartment 'Domblick' has two very large bedrooms with double beds, a fully equipped built-in Poggenpohl kitchen with washing machine & dryer, dishwasher, oven with ceran field, microwave, Nespresso machine, toaster etc. and a 320 sq ft living/dining room with satellite tv, DVD, hifi stereo, WiFi, remote control lighting and seating for four. The bathroom offers a tub with shower as well as a bidet and there is a separate WC.

The apartment has a triple aspect with eleven (!) windows and is therefore not only spacious, but also very light and bright.

Restaurants and shopping facilities are just around the corner and so is the bus stop and the next train station so that you do not need a car to explore Salzburg and its vicinity. For those who come by car there is a large (and safe) car park behind the Augustiner brewery just 3 minutes away.

Loved this apartment. Property manager greeted us upon arrival, showed us around and answered our questions. Communication with host beforehand was excellent with timely responses. This is a very well equipped apartment, with a generous supply of basic items including paper products. The unit was spotless with comfortable furnishings and a very nice view. It was just a short walk to the river for a beautiful stroll to the old town. We liked being away from the large crowds yet not that far from the major sights. A grocery store was within walking distance.We highly recommend this apartment when staying in Salzburg.

This property not only has the most beautiful view of old town it is easy to get to the walk way along the river. Everything is walkable. There is a fantastic pastries shop just down the way. The beer garden is a fun experience and super busy. The apartment was very comfortable for our family and made our first visit to Europe and Salzburg memorable. Highly recommend

We really enjoyed the ability to "feel at home" during our stay in Salzburg. The apartment is centrally located with walking distance to restaurants, the Braustubl, the river walk, short walk to Old Town/Center of Salzburg and Mirabell Castle. Overall a very enjoyable stay for our week in town.

The location is amazing. Walking everywhere in town is very easy. We were following a school group starting out of town so we needed a car. Parking is an easy walk but not right nearby but finding a place to stop for unloading was also easy for us. The apartment has plenty of space and amazing views, but can be noisy if the windows are open due to the location. Closing the windows stops the noise but there is no cooling. The bathroom is beautiful with a lovely bath and shower. The building is old but tastefully and respectfully renovated. The apartment is three floors up, and the lift is very small but usually we take the stairs. One step is a little smaller than the others so take care. We added our 14 year old daughter in the last night of our stay, this was not planned so we gladly paid extra for that.There are a quite a few rules for this apartment, take care to read the details. The curtains are very lovely. The bathroom tiles have an unusual but pleasing style.

Our stay in this first class vacation apartment was fantastic. From the minute Rebecca met us at the apartment to seeing the magnificent views of old town and mountains from our living room window we knew we had the best play to stay in Salzburg. This property was in a great location, just a short walk to old town Salzburg and well known Augustiner beer hall.Extremely clean and spacious property.Great view of old town and river from bedroom windows.We stayed in late June 2025 and temps were 25-30 degrees. Although no air conditioning, there were many windows and with fans, temp was pleasant. Washer/dryer in apartment was a great benefit.

This apartment exceeded expectations! It is spacious, comfortable, exceptionally well-equipped with high quality furnishings, and well located. There are beautiful views from the windows all around the apartment, which is bright and cheerful. We really appreciated all of the manuals for kitchen equipment (as we are not from Europe, and not familiar with many of the appliances) And the host’s representative was exceptionally responsive to questions that we had early in the stay. It’s very well located, with public transportation, pick ups very nearby, and easy walking distance to many of Salzburg old town attractions. we would absolutely stay here again!

My mom and sisters and I went to Salzburg to finally achieve our dream of doing the Sound of Music tour. This apartment was conveniently located so we didn’t need a car. The views are amazing! The apartment is well-equipped and worked well for 4 adult women. We definitely recommend the outdoor beer garden at Augustliner and dinner at Barenwirt—both about half a block from the apartment. The host communicated clearly and left great instructions. This apartment was so much better than staying in a hotel. I would stay here again and will recommend it to others.

We had a wonderful time in Salzburg and absolutely loved this apartment as our "home away from home." The location is perfect as it is steps away from the river walk and a 10 minute walk to the many shoppes and restaruants in Old Towne and Mirabell Palace. The castle and Salzach river can be seen from many of the apartment windows which made for lovely views. Don't miss the Augustiner Brewery across the street! The apartment was large enough to accomodate four adults comfortably and was well equipped. Check-in with Rebecca was seamless. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay here. The apartment was very clean and spacious and met our needs. The location was within walking distance of many of our destinations. We were disappointed to be charged an extra $40 when our train couldn’t arrive within the 3 hour check in time.

This rental is exactly as advertised. It is a very nice rental and a close walk to just about everything you want to see. The riverwalk is right behind it and the Augustiner beer garden is across the street. The host had excellent communication. I would definitely stay here again.

Overall a good stay about 10 minutes from old town and with a bus stop within 1 minute if desired. There is a reason the bathroom is not pictured in the photo collection. It is very dated. The rest of the apartment is nice.

Everything was lovely except the description of the property was not as described, at least for US properties. The main bathroom (full bath only had a bedet in it. Just outside of the “full bath, there was a proper half bath, we were under the belief that there was A/C. There was not. Very hard to cool without hearing cars and party goers outside. The view and spaciousness was superb! Eva, you were very helpful!!!! I would recommend this property to friends.

Wonderfully appointed large apartment with two super king sized beds. Although buses and trolley buses passed in front of the building the excellent double glazing made our rooms so very quiet. Fittings and tablewares etc were of the very best quality (Viceroy and Boch ) China for example. From the windows fabulous views of Old town and the monetary and the superb hills and mountains. Probably the best apartment I have ever stayed in. Would we use it again. Without doubt. Cost is quite high but in the context of staying in Salzburg good value for money. Will definitely love to return one day.

We recently stayed in this apartment for a few nights in July. While the building does not have A/C due to its age the fans kept us cool. It is very walkable to Old Town. The apartment was clean, nice, and well equipped. It also has a lift which is a huge plus in older buildings. The management was responsive and friendly.

The apartment building and quarters were elegant. The walls, floors, ceiling and furnishings were elegant. We enjoyed the view to the Old City and the view towards the fortress and river. What a magical place! Rooms, kitchen, bath and spacious feel with the tall ceilings make this a special place to stay. We walked everywhere, took the Sound of Music bike tour, visited both sides of the river, and had a boat ride up river from the boat dock. Hard to describe the beauty, history and energy of Salzbrg, Austria.

Check in with Eva was simple, and the guestbook was filled with suggestions for visitors (we left our own extensive list). The apartment is very big and well equipped, although a bit dated. For a location, it couldn't be better. Train stop 7 min away, buses out front, bike/waking path and coffee shop a block away. SPAR grocery 3 blocks. You can walk along the river to old town Salzburg or up the stairs across the street and along the old battlements. You can see the old town and castle from the living room. Very nice at night

Stayed here for 3 nights between Christmas and New Years. It is wonderful - very spacious, well appointed. Being in walking distance to Old Town Salzburg was great. It’s a quiet building, we didn’t hear much of anything. Near a few bakeries, restaurants, and a world famous beer hall right across the street. Host was very communicative, and Mrs Hoffer was wonderful during check-in. Thank you, would definitely stay here again.

The apartment was much bigger than expected and had fabulous views. We were supposed to be greeted by someone who would let us in and show us around the apartment. We left numerous texts and tried to call but no one ever responded. We left texts for the owners and never heard from them. We finally contacted VRBO and they made contact with the owners who arranged for someone else to meet us. So we checked in a couple hours later than expected which was frustrating. Also be aware that all shops including supermarkets are closed on Sundays so plan accordingly ( we were not aware of this).
