I was a little nervous about renting an apartment in a foreign country where I don’t speak the language well but decided to take a chance. Glad I did. What did I like? -Eric I found Eric to be responsive and very much on the ball. Writes exceptionally well in English. Anytime I asked a question he would promptly get back to me. I did not have to wait for days or even hours. He usually got back to me within minutes. Unfortunately, we did not get to meet Eric the Great in person. :) Pros: -OMG! The view is truly wonderful! You really feel like you are in Paris! -The location in St Germain des Pres cannot be beat. It is quiet at night but close to a Metro line. You can get to the action easily, but don’t have to live with it while you try to sleep at night. -As you can see from the photos, it has a washer and dryer! We find this amenity indispensable when traveling. One can waste so much time at a laundromat, and while the experience can be interesting, I’d rather spend my time enjoying Paris. And no more worrying whether I will have to wear my last pair of underpants inside out if I don’t get to the laundromat. -It has lots of nice shops nearby where you can get pretty much anything you need. There’s a pharmacy, a little grocery store, several restaurants, a bakery, all just around the corner. It’s a neighborhood people *live* in. -One thing I liked the most is that it felt like our place for a week. We didn’t have to clear out of the room for a maid or get up and get dressed to go to breakfast. We could do things on our own time. -Apple TV! We don’t get it at home so after a busy and tiring day of sightseeing, it was nice to snuggle up with, “Ted Lasso” and “Slow Horses” All in all a really nice stay!

No cons. Mostly FYI and heads up stuff: -Getting to the apartment once you are in the building can be a bit confusing at first, but Eric provided photos, directions, and all the information you need. By the end of the week, it was rote. -Oh, and heads up my fellow Americans, as mentioned in other reviews, the bathroom is small compared to typical American bathrooms. We managed fine, but be prepared. -the front door was a little confusing to get out of (getting in, no problem). A few times we thought we might lock ourselves in (not really) but it’s a little tricky. I will attribute this to user error.

Fenomenalny widok z okien - ponad dachami Paryża - wieża Eiffla, kopuła Invalides i piękne ogrody na dole! Super lokalizacja. 100m do metra. Mieszkanko super wygodne na 7p z windą. Dla dwóch osób bardzo dużo miejsca jak na Paryż. Naprawdę doceniam miejsca, w których jest ekspres do kawy ale też i kilka kapsułek kawy, herbata, cukier i sól na początek :)

Mieszkanie jest w modernistycznej kamienicy i ma unikalny klimat ale ma też drobne mankamenty, które niewielkim kosztem można poprawić: chociażby zmienić starą słuchawkę w prysznicu czy doczyścić porządnie łazienkę i kuchnię. Jakkolwiek to nie miało większego znaczenia ponieważ widok z okien rekompensuje wszystkie niedogodności :)
