Our host, Marjanna, was thoughtful and kind. She greeted us with cake and wine. The apartment was clean and comfortable. Bed and pillows were perfect. We would return here in the future.

Fabulous stay at Marlin apartments, couldn't fault it. Marijana is an excellent host, from her initial welcome, to chats by the lovely pool, to her ongoing support and recommendations throughout our holiday. The apartment has everything you need with a beautiful view from our 2 bed apartment number 3. There are 2 nearby supermarkets and a really good bakery. Dubrovnik old town is a 20 minute downhill walk, well worth the effort for the historic sights of this beautiful walled city. The historic port has numerous boat trips on offer and there are lots of restaurants and bars in the old town. We wouldn't hesitate to return, particularly as the transfer from the airport is very straightforward and would also be perfect for a short trip (we stayed for 9 days and there were plenty of things to do, to keep us busy).

Nothing for us but if you are less physically able, it's worth bearing in mind that there are a number of steps to negotiate up to the apartments. That being said, there are lots of steps everywhere in Dubrovnik.

This was an apartment and no breakfast was provided but there was an espresso machine and pods to make espresso as well as some other generous provisions. The hostess met us shortly after arrival, showed us around and gave instructions and some suggestions for dining out nearby for two hungry, tired new guests. She checked in during our stay and saw us off at our leave taking. She was a delightful help in our visit. There was a pretty little outdoor swim pool onsite with an outdoor full shower in a pretty courtyard, a lovely view out our apartment and off the included balcony with dining table and chairs, and a provided drying rack and an in apartment clothes washer.

There are a lot of stairs to access the apartment, a couple of flights of outdoor stone steps with iron (hot in summer heat) hand rails, and then more stairs inside the entry gate and then another flight up to our apartment indoors. This was a little daunting for an elder, tired guest, in the heat. And one more flight up to use the swimming pool. But I decided it was worth it, but should be considered for those considering a stay. It is also uphill from the old city area of Dubrovnik. A taxi can take one to the bottom of outdoor stairs and it is walkable from the old city and other sites but its a substantial walk. There is one good restaurant a few blocks downhill but only serves full meals at dinner and one coffee house nearby.
